HORRENDOUSLY PATHETIC and ARROGANTLY SHAMELESS !!!
Long story cut short, Anand Sweets is just another vendor with heavily overpriced sweets and other stuff, don't blindly trust them, carefully look at the product before buying it!!!
Their sweets are just ok, definitely not bad, but there's nothing great about them and we all know they are heavily overpriced. But please be careful while buying anything from them.
I went to buy a gift of sweets for my sister's in-laws, you know how serious that could be with some families. I bought the most expensive (still not so beautiful) box at Rs. 1800. That box within it had another box and two small containers (about 250ml each), the box was supposed to be filled with sweets and containers were to be filled with dry fruits (almonds and cashews). I had repeatedly asked them not to put any stale items in it. When the box was almost packed, I just glanced at the almonds (charged at Rs. 1600, better quality can be bought at Rs. 800-900 at Dmart and about Rs. 1000 in any other store) they had put in the small container, I was SHOCKED to see they were ROTTEN! They agreed that they are rotten but didn't remove them from their display, and on top of that they SMILED SHAMELESSLY!! One of the guys even said better quality can be bought at Rs. 4000/Kg (Mambra Almonds), heights of shamelessness!!! As I was in hurry as I had to catch my bus to my sister's place and phone's battery was at 1% I could only capture the attached video of their rotten Almonds. In the attached pics, none of the box is the gift box I had purchased, the box I had purchased had two bronze color small vessels on the right, it was the most beautiful and most expensive of all they had!!
In short, don't just blindly trust them, carefully analyze the product and...
Read moreSo, I recently went to this place called Anand Sweets in Purani Delhi, and let me tell you, the food was pretty darn good! Now, I'm not a vegetarian, but this place only serves vegetarian dishes. Don't worry, though, they've got some tasty options for both veggies and non-veggies like me.
I gotta say, their Roomali roti was the bomb! It was so thin and soft, just the way I like it. I couldn't get enough of it. And let's not forget about the soya chap. It was bursting with flavors and spices. Seriously, whoever is in the kitchen knows their stuff when it comes to cooking up some tasty Indian grub.
Now, here's the thing. As much as I loved the food, I have to admit that it was a bit on the expensive side. I mean, I get that good quality comes at a price, but some of the items on the menu felt a tad overpriced. However, I will say that the portion sizes were pretty generous, so at least you won't leave hungry.
On the bright side, the place wasn't packed when I went. It was nice to find a restaurant that wasn't overcrowded. The service was quick too. They took my order and brought it out pretty fast, which I appreciate because I was starving!
All in all, Anand Sweets is a solid spot if you're in the mood for some vegetarian or even non-vegetarian Indian dishes. The food is delicious, no doubt about it. Just be prepared to shell out a bit more than you'd expect. But hey, good food is...
Read moreThe best option to my understanding, rajbhog size and taste is incomparable superb please try. The mixtures are amazing.
But it has gone down in quality and service lately, too much check out time, dhokla was declined even after booking and paying 100% advance and informed only when I was picking up, paneer is generally good but what was given was stale, badam pista roll wasn't melt in mooth, the premium price made me feel like best quality but wasn't so seem like a less running and so not fresh items given, the sitting section on 1st floor is gone too much tiring a few seats should atleast be there, 5 pcs nariyal burfi boxes to be distributed was provided in the smallest of the box possible, stacked up too close. Tikki chola - chola was stale. Generally the chola batura is awesome. Washroom is on 3rd floor.
Summing up - best option to my understanding in Bengaluru, the quality and service is going down, will try competitors next time such as gopaljee, Modak, bhikaram, haldiram etc. It seems it is only time before a good quality mithai shop opens up in bengaluru.
Sincere request - improve quality, open full service restaurant as well (saw that 3rd floor option?, It didn't perform well is it?
Dilip did...
