Today’s food journey took me to Al Bek, located right next to Jaydeva Bus Stop — and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! From the moment I stepped in, the vibe of the place felt just right — warm lighting, bustling energy, and the scent of spices in the air teasing my appetite. This spot is not just a restaurant; it’s a destination for anyone who truly wants to satisfy their hunger with a soulful and flavorful meal.
I kicked things off with Babycorn Manchurian, and it was a perfect starter — crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and tossed in a spicy, tangy sauce that danced on my tastebuds. Then came the rich and creamy Shahi Paneer, which honestly felt like a royal treat. The paneer was fresh and soft, soaked in a luscious gravy that had the right blend of spices and sweetness. I paired it with their Rumali Roti, and trust me, it was a match made in food heaven — soft, thin, and folded like a warm edible blanket for that delicious paneer.
But the real kick came from the Chicken Lollipop. Juicy, well-marinated, and fried to perfection, each bite brought a wave of flavor and heat that made it almost addictive. You know that moment when food just hits the spot? Yeah, this was that moment. Everything on the table gave both my stomach and mind a sense of contentment — as if the taste had a calming effect after a long day.
And just when I thought it couldn’t get better, I tried their juices — fresh, flavorful, and incredibly refreshing. They weren’t the overly sugary types you find in some places. These had a natural punch and chilled finish that made the meal feel whole.
Whether you’re a vegetarian, a meat lover, or just someone looking for a satisfying, flavorful, and fulfilling meal, Al Bek near Jaydeva is a solid go-to. The food, the variety, the location, and the overall experience were just spot on. I genuinely loved it — and I’m definitely going back. If you’re in the area and craving something that’s both tasty and hearty, don’t think twice. This place knows how to serve food that talks to...
Read moreI visited Al-Bek near Jayadeva Yesterday, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we entered, things started going downhill. The food quality was far below expectations, the service was slow and careless, and the overall environment lacked both hygiene and professionalism.
We ordered Chicken Wings, Alfaham, and Chicken Angara with Butter Naan. The wings tasted just about okay, but their appearance was completely off. They looked oddly cut and barely resembled proper chicken wings. The Alfaham was a total disaster. It was smeared with some kind of malai, but due to the heat, it had melted into a watery coating, making the dish soggy and unappetizing. The chicken itself was bland and flavorless, as though no effort had gone into marinating or grilling it properly.
The worst dish was the Chicken Angara with Butter Naan. The chicken was undercooked and rubbery, making it difficult to chew. The gravy was excessively watery and packed with raw whole spices, which overpowered every bite and made the dish nearly inedible. It felt like the spices had been thrown in without any balance or cooking. To top it off, the butter naan served alongside was cold and stiff, clearly not fresh.
Service was painfully slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t crowded. We had to wait far too long for the food, and the staff seemed disinterested and unresponsive throughout. There was no sense of customer care, and even when we expressed our dissatisfaction, it was brushed off casually. Hygiene was another major concern — the plates didn’t feel clean, and the overall ambiance lacked any sense of cleanliness or order.
Overall, this visit was a complete letdown. For a restaurant that’s supposed to specialize in grilled items and North Indian cuisine, it failed miserably on every front — from food taste and preparation to service and cleanliness. This was my first visit, and it will definitely be my last. I wouldn’t recommend Al-Bek to anyone. Save your money and...
Read moreWe had a very bad experience at Al-Bek(JP Nagar) couple days back.
Me and my brother were traveling back from airport and it was late at night so we called the restraunt to make sure it's open..they said it's open
So late at night we took a cab all the way from Majestic to the restraunt and once we reached there , they were like we are only taking Zomato orders at night and asked us to go out and order from zomato even though we were at their restraunt in person.
Also they guy in the counter was extremely rude and also from my understanding either drunk or under the influence of something. He was soo arrogant and also lashed out. My question to him was very simple "why would I take cab and come all the way till here if only Zomato orders are being taken"
He was soo arrogant to a level where he was saying he didn't say any of that in call he said " the restraunt is open you can come in".
Truely disappointed at your services. And I urge people to stay away from places like this where they don't know to treat customers well.
Let me be clear " you exist because of customers and not the other way around ".
JP Nagar(Jayanagar) Al-Bek branch : the guy at the counter was probably from somewhere north and only knew Hindi. Not sure from which place he is.
I urge the management to hold him accountable for this .
Date : 23 of October: Saturday early in the morning. Or I can say 22nd late at night. I'm sure you can go through the security cam visuals and figure out who was that employee.
P.s: We only came there because your employee confirmed over the call that the restraunt is up and running late at night...
