S.L.V Ragigudda — Restaurant in Bengaluru

While the food is good, we had a bad experience with the staff and service. We were a group of 5 women meeting after quite some time, engrossed in a conversation. We feel the restaurant staff took our attention span to do some goof-ups about our bill and the money we paid. While still seated and chatting, we kept the money due against the bill in the bill book (we clearly remember that though we were busy chatting). When we asked for the change , the staff opens a empty bill book on our table and claims we have not paid and the bill is also missing. We get them to check the cctv footage and after serious amount of waiting they get the footage and they see us placing the money with the bill. But staff claimed its the menu we placed the money and bill in. It's the same staff who had earlier checked the menus and the bill books stashed on the counter. While they didn't find anything back then, they swiftly in split sevonds get the menu with the money and bill. Now we didn't expect any apology but for our change to the amount we left in the bill book. The staff and mostly the manager accuses us of placing the bill and the money in the menu. To top it all, during all this we all were asked to check our bags for the bill and money. We didn't mind and did that too. But to be accused for what we didn't do and hide the doings of the staff, that's unacceptable. Now few questions for the restaurant owners - So how did the staff know which is the right menu picked from our table that they could get it to us in split seconds with the money and the bill. Secondly, While checking the menus earlier why didn't they find it then. So people go for the food,...

Used to be my first preference for breakfast in and around JP Nagar. However, my recent trip to this small joint did not make me feel the same way. Place is under renovation and all of the tables are placed outside now. The place is already small and with ongoing work it is even more congested. The remember the owner sitting on the corner and controlling everything but this time I felt the person on the counter was busy counting money only. I was also updated that the management had just changed a few months ago and this may very well be the reason.

The taste too, has deteriorated. It is not of the same quality anymore. I had an onion dosa and felt very heavy with a few bites into. Took Ragi cold milk which is generally expensive but at this place at charged me Rs 35 for a very small glass. I was surprised and shocked both.

Pros: Carrying the name Taste is average South Indian tiffins, North Indian chats and juices - all at one place Outdoor standing tables (and service available upstairs) The serving staff was okay

SLV is a really good fast food joint located in jaynagar which serves really delicious south indian breakfast. SLV has 2 floors a self service floor and an AC dining.Apart from south indian food they also serve north indian,chinese,sweets,milkshakes,sandwiches and many more.

I love the south indian breakfast food over here especially the masala dosa,rava idly and vada.

The vada is served with some amazing sambar which tastes really good and has a lot of flavour in it. The masala dosa is one of my favourite over here and is just amazing the dosa is crispy and the potato filling inside tastes really good.I particularly like the chutney they serve over here.

I also had a sweet called chandrahara which tasted really good and I liked it a lot.

The service was quick,the cleanliness is maintained pretty well,the prices are pretty reasonable,the ambiance is also fine. One problem here is parking as there is limited amount of space for 4 wheeler parking.

Overall I would definetly recommend this place for some...
