Aroma’s Hyderabadi House, Marathahalli – A Total Disaster!
If you’re looking for authentic Hyderabadi flavors, good service, or value for money—STAY AWAY from this place! Our recent visit was a complete letdown, ruining what should have been a great time with friends. Here’s why this place is NOT worth your time or money.
Food – A Joke in the Name of Hyderabadi Cuisine
Roasted Chicken Wings (2.5/5) – The only dish that was somewhat edible. Nothing exciting, just basic.
Chilly Milly Kabab (2/5) – Supposed to be spicy, but had zero spice, zero flavor, and zero effort. Just mint and green chili thrown in, making it taste like a failed experiment.
Kalmi Kabab (0/5) – Horrendous. Full of smoky, burnt carbon taste—as if they cooked it over a pile of coal and forgot to clean it. But they still charged ₹629 + GST for this disaster!
Chicken Dum Biryani (2/5) – A disgrace to Hyderabadi Biryani! Bland, emotionless, and outright disappointing. The chicken and rice had no soul.
Aroma’s Mutton Biryani Special (1.5/5) – What a joke! Instead of real Dum Biryani, they just threw some dry mutton on top of rice and called it “special.” Adding random leaves doesn’t make a dish premium—it makes it a waste of money.
Sides – A Failed Experiment That Should Never Exist
The curd-based dip they served with starters was a disaster—curd, sugar, cabbage, and carrot mixed into a tasteless, pointless mess. Even their chefs failed to impress. The only thing that saved the starters was the mint chutney we had to beg for!
Service – Slow, Lazy, and Clueless
The guy taking our order? Useless. No follow-up, no effort, just standing around with zero energy.
The guy serving us? Better, but still not proactive. We had to ask for basic things like waste plates and tissues.
Waiting time? Ridiculous. The place wasn’t even crowded, yet we waited 5-10 minutes between starters.
Ambience – Good Setup, Bad Management
The interior, music, and hygiene were fine, but what’s the point when the food and service suck?
Plenty of parking, but you don’t come to a restaurant just for parking, do you?
The table we sat at was broken, and instead of giving us another, they "fixed" it temporarily—only for it to collapse again in seconds.
Final Verdict – NEVER AGAIN!
We had good experiences here before, but this visit proved that the place has gone downhill FAST. Whether it’s a change in chefs, bad recipes, or sheer laziness, one thing is clear—we are NEVER coming back.
Final Rating: 1.5/5 – And that’s ONLY because the ambience was decent.

Read moreFinally a good restaurant in Marathalli with enough parking. Ambience is good and much similar to a brewpub. The sides have a cabin appearance like Jalsa used to have. Coming to food: we were a group of 6 (2 veg and 4 non-veg) and ordered Chicken Tandoori, Lollipop and Tandoori Paneer tikka for starters. It took some time to be served but all were fresh from the tandoor (warm to the core) and soft on the palate. The spices were optimal and not excess of red chilli which is the norm for most hyderadi / andhra places. Felt refreshing and wanting for more. For main course, we went for a mix of roti, sabzi and full chicken boneless biryani. It was more than enough for the team and specially the biryani was full of chicken pieces and again not high on chilli. Fully satisfied, I even liked the finger bowl given which had warm water in a small handi to cleanse the full palm and not a finger dip. The music was soft allowing for conversation and he lights were yellow on the dim side allowing enough privacy. The service was excellent as its the first time in my life when the waiter on seeing bones getting collected on all the plates, brought in an extra plate asking all of us to bones on that spare plate. This sense of proactiveness and assessing the customer needs is mostly missing nowadays. Overall and great experience for a new restaurant which I visited for the first time and a great value for money as the overall bill came to Rs....
Read moreThis restaurant is undoubtedly one of my top three favorite places to visit. Their biryani is the best I've ever had, offering a perfect combination of flavors that leaves a lasting impression.
I highly recommend going for the Aroma Special Biryanis. Trust me, skip the regular ones—they don’t compare. The Aroma Special Veg Biryani is outstanding, bursting with flavors that any vegetarian would love. For non-vegetarians, the Aroma Special Chicken Biryani is hands down the best option, with tender, flavorful chicken that’s cooked to perfection.
In terms of starters, the Dragon Chicken and Dragon Paneer are both excellent choices. The Dragon Chicken has a delightful, slightly spicy kick, while the Dragon Paneer offers a unique twist on the usual paneer dishes. Both are seasoned perfectly and make for a great start to your meal.
Dessert here is also worth trying, although you might find it a bit on the expensive side. However, the quality and taste make it a worthwhile indulgence.
Additionally, the washrooms are clean, which is always a plus, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The waiting time is also minimal, so you won’t be left hanging for long.
Overall, this place is highly recommended, and I would urge you to...
