Experience at Nagarjuna Restaurant, Marathahalli As someone who isn't from the South but has a genuine love for Andhra-style food, I had heard a lot of good reviews about Nagarjuna Restaurant, especially for their meals and Guntur Chicken. So, I decided to travel all the way to the Marathahalli branch to experience it myself. We ordered Biryani, Andhra Meals, Fish, and Guntur Chicken. The Biryani, Meals, and Fish were served in a reasonable time. However, things took a disappointing turn when it came to the Guntur Chicken. :hourglass_flowing_sand: We waited for nearly 45 minutes for the Guntur Chicken, but despite repeatedly trying to get the attention of the staff and waiters, no one responded. It was as if we were invisible. That kind of behavior was quite shocking and unexpected. Finally, I had to call a person in a black coat (who seemed to be a supervisor or manager) and asked him about our dish. He said he would get it, but instead, he came back with Chilli Chicken. I traveled 20 km specifically to enjoy authentic Andhra Guntur Chicken, not generic Chilli Chicken. When I asked him again, he casually said, "Guntur Chicken is over, sir." No prior intimation, just a plain “sorry.” What made it worse was his facial expression—it almost felt like he was saying, "Now that you've eaten, please leave quickly." It was dismissive and disappointi

Why were we made to wait 45 minutes for a dish that was not even available?

Why did none of the staff attend to us when we were clearly calling them multiple times?

The person behaviour is not at all acceptable, just thing I have written this big review means how much I felt bad. Bill no 571 Date 14/04/2025 4:14...

Nagarjuna Restaurant is an excellent place for food lovers, offering a delightful dining experience with high-quality food and great service. From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed by the well-maintained ambience, which was both inviting and comfortable. The restaurant has a warm and pleasant atmosphere, making it a great choice for families, friends, and even business lunches.

One of the highlights of our visit was the prompt and attentive service provided by the staff. They were courteous, efficient, and ensured that we had everything we needed without any delays. Good service always enhances the overall experience, and Nagarjuna certainly excels in this aspect.

Coming to the food, we absolutely loved the vegetarian meals. The flavors were rich, and the dishes were prepared with fresh ingredients, giving an authentic taste that we truly enjoyed. The portion sizes were satisfying, and the meal was served hot and fresh, making it a fulfilling experience.

For non-vegetarian lovers, the biryani and chicken chilli are a must-try. The biryani was perfectly cooked, aromatic, and packed with flavors, while the chicken chilli had the right balance of spice and taste, making it an absolute delight. Both dishes were of top-notch quality, reflecting the restaurant’s commitment to serving the best.

Overall, Nagarjuna Restaurant is a great place to dine, whether you prefer vegetarian meals or non-vegetarian delights. The combination of delicious food, excellent service, and a pleasant ambience makes it a highly recommended spot. If you’re looking for a restaurant that serves flavorful meals with great hospitality, Nagarjuna is definitely...

Oh man, Nagarjuna Andhra Style Restaurant in Bengaluru is just our absolute favourite for Andhra food! It is like our second home whenever we are craving something spicy and soul-satisfying. Their unlimited Andhra banana leaf meal? Total game-changer! You get this massive spread of fiery curries, tangy gongura chutney, crispy papad, and steaming rice - all served with so much love. They keep refilling your plate with a grin, and every bite is like a hug from Andhra Pradesh. It is spicy, it is hearty, and it is so worth loosening your belt for!

Then there’s their chicken biryani - holy smokes, it is amazing! The rice is fluffy, the chicken is super tender, and the spices hit all the right spots without overwhelming you. It is the kind of biryani that makes you close your eyes and savor every spoonful. And do not sleep on their chicken kebabs! They are juicy.

What I love about Nagarjuna is how easy they make it to enjoy a great meal. The basement parking is a godsend in Bengaluru’s chaos - no circling around for ages! The service is super quick, even when it is packed, and the staff are always so friendly, like they are genuinely happy you are there. The prices are super wallet-friendly for the quality and quantity - honestly, such a steal. The seating’s comfy too, but fair warning: you might have to wait a bit on weekends or holidays. Totally worth it, though!

Nagarjuna just gets Andhra food so right, and it is no wonder we keep coming back. If you love bold, spicy flavors, you have gotta check this place out. Can not wait for...

We went to the hotel for lunch at around 2 pm. There were massive crowd waiting for dine in as well parcel. The hotel was quite spacious. But the crowd was too large for the restaurant. There was a staff member who was standing near the entrance and and was going on saying "go to side , stand in the queue ". Yes one can imagine the herculean task of managing such huge crowd. But this person's voice was quite irritating. It looked like people have gone there to have some annadan or free lunch. He was not even ready to talk. He kept saying go to side. Well the restaurant could have put additional 1 or 2 staffs even at the main entrance from the road and they can inform the prospective customers that there is huge rush one may have to wait 30-45 minutes. At least some may decide to walk away and thus the burden of the other staff could have reduced. Yes it is bad to turn away customers but it is equally bad to treat customers with some distain . Please note especially during weekends especially with people now trying to be back to normal they don't want to have a bad feeling with such restaurants. It is ok to turn back few customers by saying no seat rather make them feel unhappy with the attitude of the staff. We got seat after 45 minutes Now on the food. It is not up to the mark for which Nagarjuna restaurants are famous for. They are not at all spicy as it is known for. This is the first time we visited this outlet and we were disappointed with food also .. not worth after waiting for 45 minutes.

Whenever wifey is busy with cake orders, or simply when we both are too bored to cook, our go to place is Nagarjuna for ordering Andhra Style carrier meals. It is a fabulous value for money deal, especially if you are ordering and picking up directly from the restaurant at around 400 rupees, however a little more expensive while ordering through food delivery apps, around 550 rupees. Dining-in has always been great, but with carrier meal delivery, the food has always been perfect, more or less with a few misses. The Pappu / Dal is delicious, one of the best in Bengaluru with some greens blended in, the sambar is good, Rasam near perfect, the curries great, the chutney / Pachadi to die for, unfortunately there is no fry in this meal as opposed to dine-in. The portions are great for 4-5 average eaters. My family of 4 adults and one teen easily feasts on this delicious meal with a few leftover curries & chutneys. A more recent experience was little less than perfect, the rice a little overcooked, the curd soaked chillies a little too stale, and the curry vegetable less than what’s usually expected, sharing this candid feedback so that our favourite place for superb Andhra food bucks up and delivers the quality that we are always used to.

Nagarjuna is just average restaurant if you are going for north Indian food or Ala-Carte menu and sad to say that I didn’t like their typical Andhra-style Thali. Mainly, they serves Andhra-style cuisine but their hypes are too instead of some delicious food. I asked their staff to serve me best starter and I got deep fried cold chicken with blend taste even street vendor gives better starter than Nagarjuna. The ambiance is Great and staff is polite and quick. The menu has a limited selection of dishes, and the quality of the food is not consistent. The food is often lack of flavor. Some dishes are too mild (Hyd biryani), while others are bland. The portion sizes are unlimited with Andhra thali but that is no use if taste is blend. The service is hit-or-miss, with some staff members being friendly and attentive, while others seem disinterested in providing good service. The wait times can be long in weekend for parking, and the food can take a while to come out of the kitchen. Overall, this Restro is a average option if you're in the mood for some Andhra-style food. It's not the best restaurant in town, but it's not the worst either.
