I recently visited Auntie Fung’s with my friends, and unfortunately, it turned out to be quite a disappointing experience overall.
To begin with the positives — the interiors are well done, and the ambience is nice. There is also ample parking space, which is convenient, and the prices are reasonable for the kind of restaurant it is. Apart from that, though, the rest of the experience was not pleasant.
When it comes to service and food, things went downhill. After being seated, no one came to take our order for a long time. We had to call the staff multiple times before someone finally attended to us. After the order was placed, the food took a long time to arrive, and during that wait, no one checked on our table. Even for basic things like water, we had to keep reminding the staff — they brought a bottle but forgot the glasses, and we had to ask again. The service felt highly unorganized and inattentive.
We ordered Aunty’s Special Noodles, Pad Thai Noodles, Crystal Veg Dumplings, and Thai Connection Paneer Bao. Out of all these, only the Crystal Veg Dumplings were good in taste. The two noodle dishes were exactly the same — same taste, same ingredients, and same presentation, just with different names, which was quite disappointing and misleading.
The Thai Connection Paneer Bao was served only after multiple reminders, and when it finally arrived, it was bland and lacked any real flavour — just paneer with some random sauces inside.
Overall, it felt like a waste of time and money. The food didn’t meet expectations, and the staff’s lack of attention made the experience frustrating.
In summary: ✅ Nice ambience ✅ Ample parking space ❌ Very poor service ❌ Below-average food quality ❌ Unattentive staff
For me, it’s a big no for Auntie Fung’s. I don’t plan to visit again. There are many other restaurants in Bangalore that offer much better Asian food and far...

Deeply Disappointed by Insensitivity at Auntie Feng’s, Sarjapur Road
Today, we visited Auntie Feng’s on Sarjapur Road. In our group, 2 persons was a non-vegetarian, and one of us are strict vegetarians. We ordered a Teppanyaki Chicken dish, Veg Manchow Soup, and Veg Thai Hawker Fried Rice.
To our utter dismay, while serving the Veg Fried Rice (which was the last to arrive), the waiter used a spoon that had just been in contact with the chicken dish. When we politely asked for a fresh spoon to maintain basic vegetarian hygiene, the waiter casually dismissed the request and said, “It doesn’t matter — all veg food is cooked in the same utensils in the kitchen anyway.”
This wasn’t just a careless remark — it was a shockingly disrespectful and insensitive response, especially for those who follow vegetarianism due to religious or ethical beliefs. When we raised the issue with the manager, he simply said that the restaurant has never claimed to be purely vegetarian. After a few minutes, the waiter completely vanished, and they quietly removed the veg fried rice from the bill.
To make matters worse, when I insisted on getting the full bill with all items listed, they couldn’t provide it — citing a vague “technical issue.”
This entire experience was beyond disappointing — it was offensive. It shows a complete lack of respect for dietary choices and religious sentiments. If you’re a vegetarian, beware — the so-called vegetarian food here may have just been prepared or handled right after non-veg items like chicken, lamb, or fish, with no regard for cross-contamination.
This kind of indifference is unacceptable. Vegetarians deserve transparency and respect, not...
Read moreI visited Aunty Fung’s, Sarjapur Road branch with my family on 15th Aug, and unfortunately, the experience was very poor. We all ordered different dishes according to our preferences. My wife ordered a Thai curry, which, shockingly, never arrived even after 50 minutes.
When I followed up with the waitress, she replied that “it’s getting ready” — no explanation. After several more reminders (three in total), there was still no sign of my food. By then, my patience had worn thin. We finally decided to leave without it.
This was not during rush hour or on a packed day; the restaurant was relatively empty. There was no apparent reason for such a long delay, and it clearly pointed to poor coordination in the kitchen and weak service management.
To his credit, the manager did come over to apologize, and I could see he was trying to be sincere. But by that point, the damage had been done — the evening was already spoiled. We were left with a frustrating memory instead of a pleasant dining experience.
The food that did arrive for others at our table was decent, but nothing that could justify overlooking such inefficiency. For a place that charges restaurant prices, basic service should not be too much to expect.
I’m giving one star purely because the manager at least acknowledged the problem. Otherwise, this visit was a total letdown, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone expecting timely service or a well-managed...
