One of my colleague suggested me about this place and I really got excited when I heard the name 'Napoli Italian Bistro'. But, things weren't that exciting over the course of my visit. First thing, even though the restaurant building is in the 27th main road, which I pass through everyday, its very hard to spot since the sign board is not impressive enough or may be it is getting a lesser treatment because of the ground floor Cafe Coffee Day which has this striking store interior and extremely conspicuous name board. Second thing, we visited around 8 at night and the restaurant ambiance was kind of dull and only 2 tables where occupied. There was no music playing, there is no fancy lighting, only thing standing out was the oddly placed aquarium, please note the sarcasm, on the counter and that too failed in accentuating the overall beauty. The pricing, now this part is really important and Napoli even failed to score in this category with its overpriced menu. From my experience from restaurants like Truffles and Glen's Bakehouse, both still my favorites, I felt like the food in here is really overpriced considering the quantity they serve. They had some offer running for wines and that too made no discernible effect on my dinner plan. We ordered Chicken Caesar Salad, which had this crunchy bread crumbs with little too much dressing. The Veg Greek Salad, which in fact tasted like the Caesar Salad, my taste buds couldn't ignore the similarity, had some 'not-fresh' lettuces in them. The good things about this place are, the seating near to glass which overlooks the 27th main road, nice table arrangement and fast service. For me, its a one time visit place because it failed to impress me in terms of ambiance...

Read moreA nice little Italian bistro, decent tasting food and wood-oven pizza, a definite must try if you are living in and around HSR.
Food - 3.5/5 Service - 3.5/5 Ambiance - 3.5/5 Value - 3.5/5
Its a small Italian place in HSR. We were a bunch of friends, visiting this place for dinner on a Saturday night. Luckily we found a table as soon as we entered. We got a parking space right in front of the hotel, otherwise there is a road right next to it, you should b able to find some place there, so parking s not a worry. Though the place is a little small, because of its well planned interiors, lighting and the way its tables are placed, its quite spacious. They also have a couple of screens playing some sports. A plus point there. Menu wise they are a perfect Italian bistro, serving garlic breads, bruschettas, continental soups and appetizers, crepes, pasta, lasagne, wood oven pizzas, risotto. They even have small portion of pastas fr kids which is pretty rare to find. If you like a drink along with your food, they have a range of mojitos, hot beverages, cool drinks and a range of white and red wines as well. Coming to the food: Fresh tomato bruschetta - the tomato was marinated with garlic adding a lovely flavour to it. Cheese Omlette - the cheese stuffing was perfect, each and every one of us loved it. Wild Mushroom Risotto - I am not sure if it was d wheat-rice or the cheese that made it taste a little bitter, but it tasted really good, lip-smacking. Mexican Pizza - Good amount of bell peppers and jalapenos topped with some napoli sauce to give the...
