Read moreA barley and grapes cafe is opening up in Sahakar nagar 60 Feet road. I would not recommend this joint to anyone. Primarily for lack of civic sense and utter disregard to the rights of the citizens in the vicinity they are opening up. There is construction work that has to go on- we all understand that. But having 7-8 labourers break stones manually in an open plot adjacent to a densely populated residential area- creating noise and ruckus blatantly , just because you believe you have a right to do so? Is this acceptable? There are more than 20 apartment blocks with thousands of residents, right within 10 feet since the noise is getting generated in the open, no students can study, elders cannot rest and people who have kids, are facing the additional stress by that 12 Hours non-stop noise. No civic authorities to the rescue, all must have been paid off - Of course, this is also unethical. You are not...
Read moreBarley and Grapes cafe is located at the ground floor of Phoenix Market City, Whitefield. We dropped by here for some late dinner. It seemed to be a good place for food and some beer, but were yet to discover the truth. After waiting for about 10 minutes, we got a table, and placed the order. We ordered a lot of dishes off their menu, ranging from burgers, to pasta, to chicken wings and what not. I had the chicken lasagne - and it turned out to be the only decent thing we had ordered. The quantity was pretty good, but the food tasted bad. The chicken was hard to cut into, and tasted stale. We decided to wrap up the bad meal, and leave. But the bill turned out to be another shock - the food was insanely priced and taxed. It wasn't worth the money at all. Service was quick, but the food was terrible. We did have a good time here, but I assure you it was only because of the company, and had nothing to do...
