Cafe Noir is a Familiar cafe in the city of Bengaluru for it's French delicacy. It's currently operational with 4 outlets. Folks can indulge in the French dishes served overthere.
The Ambience is amazing with lighted candles on the table. It exactly resembles the typical French restaurant. The menu is vast with wide range of French varieties.
I was there with my friend for a dinner. We ordered the below
Fresh fruit rocks : A pleasant combination of orange juice and other fruit which leave you refreshed. The flavour is soo mild and tasty.
Poulet panés: The tender chicken marinated in crumb and fried to the golden perfection and served with mouthsmacking tartare sauce. The chicken is perfectly fried and the size of Nuggets are a bit big. The crunchy nugget with tartare sauce is incredibly delicious.
Veg Pizza : The pizza served here is of thick crust and loaded heavily with cheese. The toppings are very few such as mushroom, spring onion and carmalised onions. The pizza tastes good I would say the taste of the other toppings was masked by cheese. Before you order it make sure that you inform them to prepare it in a way you want.
La gratinee : It is nothing but Penne pasta served with bechamel sauce and seasonal vegetables like lettuce and basil. Bechamel sauce is prepared from milk and white roux. The slight amount of pepper could have made the dish even more delectable.
La catalone : It is a bruchestta loaded with fresh veggies like tomatoe, onion, olives and cheese. The base is crunchy and the veggies are fresh. It's a perfect appetizer to start your meal with.
Quiche des voges : Quiche is a familiar French flan consisting of pastry filled with egg. Here the quiche is infused with bell pepper, cream, egg and grean beans. Trust me, this is a must try. The punch of flavours will blow your mind and you savour it till your last bite.
Truffle cake with california walnuts : California walnuts are the best in market in terms of taste and quality. I consume those quite often. The walnuts are binded to chocolate truffle cake which is served with ice cream and white chocolate with Strawberry. The cake is so fluffy and the white chocolate sauce tastes a bit sour with fresh Strawberry 🍓 pieces. The combination of all these tastes great.
If you are planning for a date then this would be the best cafe to visit because of its astoundingly...
Read moreUnfortunately Cafe Noir is no longer French! From their delicious variety of quiches they used to have on their menu they have now substituted casual french fare for Paneer Makhani and Tandoori Chicken main courses and appetizers! Luckily they have not taken their Viennese pastries off the menu (yet) which remain overpriced and probably will continue to do so. The level of the service has gone down to an all time low, the clueless waiters neither pay attention to you nor do they understand what being able to take an order is. Blame it on lack of training or the culture clash, it is doubtful the situation will get better. A majority of the items they advertise on their (new) menu are never available. Tiny little insects that are smaller than flies but not invisible to a dinner, hover around the tables, continuously sampling whatever has been put on the table. Service staff claim not to see them hence they cannot help to drive them away! It is up to the diner to find them swimming around in their food, fish them out and then kill them do that they don't revisit! What used to be a quintessential french cafe cum bistro experience has now been reduced to a half Indian, half "continental" dining experience. Poor show. I suppose the owners/managers can't really change things they are simply trying to adapt to market demand. Bangalore doesn't understand what Cafe Noir used to be, so in order for this establishment to remain in business they have to resort to offering a non french menu! Pathetic experience....
Read moreI heared about this restaurant from my frnds and finally got the chance to be there. One of the good cafe at Bangalore in terms of ambience, food and service though the prices are bit high. This outlet is located in VR Mall, Whitefield. Where I had been to with my family.
They have good options in the menu but very difficult to understand the dish by the name listed in the menu. However, detailed description also mentioned in the menu beside every item they prepare. That's 😎 cool! We had ordered Beef Lasagna, BBQ Chicken Wrap, Chicken Salad, Chicken Burger, Creme Brulee and Strawberry Tart.
Beef lasagna was my first try and m happy and satisfied with the food taste and presentation. BBQ Chicken Wrap was also good in taste but nothing great to mention. I had same Wrap in other places. Chicken Salad was too good indeed. Well presented and good quantity. My wife loves salad and at the end she was happy with the food. Chicken Burger was also good in taste. But nothing great to mention. One burger is sufficient for low appetite person. Creme Brulee and Strawberry Tart both were dessert and good in look. Well I like the Creme Brulee the most.
Ambience was decent, neat and tidy, service was too good. Staff's were humble.
But it's overpriced. That's for sure. If someone from management is reading this post might help customers in this area.
Overall, I had good time here and fully satisfied with their food and services. Pics says...
