Read moreI'm going to be completely honest with the review that I'm going to type now. Even though the crowd is attracted towards the interior of the restaurant, the food is what makes the customer to visit again. And I will never. So my friends and I decided to visit this place on a Saturday afternoon but we didn't make a reservation and entered the restaurant hoping to get a table. The place already filled with people and it is advised to make a prior reservation here otherwise your wait time will be minimum of 30 mins or if you're lucky you'll get a corrupt inspector who'll give you a jail by dealing with you under the table. Just kidding 😬. The reservation for walk in customers works as follows You give your name and number to the attender He sends you messages/ makes a call when your table is ready. You can also view it on a website link provided by them. After your table is ready you'll get a large menu and we decided to order India breads and we couldn't settle for something so we ordered the bread basket which had a combo of all breads (Naan, paratha, Roti, etc) and took Palak Paneer and Veg Kohlapuri. The waiting time for food was not much and soon we found ourselves in front of a huge basket of breads. The cutlery and the surroundings totally matched the name of the restaurant. All aluminum but with a little modern touch to it. Unfortunately, that was the case of food as well. The taste was not worth the price. Our excitement that was there when inside was all lost when we had our palak paneer which had no taste of palak and veg Kohlapuri lacked taste and was very plain. The breads were not soft enough and roti was like chips. We did have fun with the place and jokes on being in jail without doing a crime was surplous. So, that's my review on CJR. Amazing when you go with friends, it'll give you a very memorable day but DO NOT ORDER Indian...
Read moreLoved the food in my last visit. The place is always full n has a wait time. But the service was very very poor in this visit. Don't know if they were on a holiday mood on a Sunday afternoon when restaurants normally have a high volume biz. We took up a table where the customers just left n the dishes were just taken n not moped. N no one was bothered to mop. When asked the waiter is telling oh is it dirty. N wiping with his hand. N handing over menu card with d same hand.. Then upon requesting twice another person came over with a dry cloth to mop. The oil stains were left like that only. I cud see with my mobile torch. By the way central jail is dimly lit as per the theme. It's a beautiful theme n nice place.
We landed up at this place for the 2nd time since the food was gud. But we had ordered paneer 65 and paneer chilli was served.. When the waiter realized that he wanted to take it off our plate so he can serve it to whoever ordered it. We said we are fine with it. So he left it at that.. One of the food items was remaining. So we asked for a parcel. The moping boy come and takes our used plates in 1 hand n the remaining food item in another. This is a job expected normally to be done by 2 different people. We took the parcel anyways.. But didn't feel like eating it. There shud be one person to serve. One person to clean. Roles aren't defined here I guess. Or the staff is too casual just loitering around. No one to attend when called. We were a bit upset with all this this time..
Food is gud. But if ur particular on hygiene n particulars. Ask for it. Rest...
