Subject: Feedback on Visit to Chaayos Jayanagar – Appreciation and Concern

Dear Chaayos Team,

I visited your Jayanagar outlet today at around 4:30 PM and ordered a chai and bhelpuri. I want to sincerely appreciate the quality and taste—the chai was especially excellent: kadak, spicy, and perfectly brewed. Great job to the team for maintaining such a high standard. Keep it up!

However, I would also like to bring an important matter to your attention regarding an incident I witnessed around 5:45 PM at the same outlet.

Two couples entered the store and inquired about the air conditioning. The staff member politely informed them that the AC was not working and that the issue had recently been fixed. In response, they began verbally harassing him, telling him to shut down the outlet and asking demeaning questions like “Are you from Tilak Nagar slum area?”—clearly making personal remarks about his appearance and background.

Despite the disrespect, the staff member remained calm and polite throughout the interaction. He simply responded, “Sir, please don’t speak like that,” and continued to serve with a smile. I was deeply disturbed to see that one of the ladies then took a photo of this employee and posted it online with a false accusation, which I believe is unjust and unfair.

I truly feel bad for the employee who handled the situation professionally and did not deserve such treatment. I hope your team, especially the Jayanagar management and team lead (Ruchita M), will look into this matter seriously and support your staff in such situations.

Your team is doing a commendable job, and I appreciate their hard work and patience even in difficult circumstances.

Update: I've been here several dozen times. It is absolutely a raging success and there are often no seats to sit at. They've stepped up the quality game and prices (which are very VFM). I highly recommend this place for tea enthusiasts and people who want to get some work done.

At first it seemed like a ridiculous idea that a Chaayos would open ten steps besides Starbucks. I was wrong, this place being more budget friendly and having the true Indian Chai, Starbucks isn't much of a match. Sure, they haven't gone out of business, but this Chaayos branch isn't particularly suffering either. This means that the food they serve isn't frozen old stock - most items are fresh or at least from the same day's supplies. Basically you aren't going to come home and sit in the restroom all night. The Chaayos membership of Rs 99/- is also an enticing offer giving you a certain percent off the price in food every time you order and free WiFi. However, in my experience if you aren't someone who will regularly visit the place several times a week, don't get the membership. Beware, the person taking your order will try real hard and force it upon you. Good place for a quick chai or even for a few hours to get...
