Thanks to the chai point team and the staff. This review is a bit late, but seeing how few people are aware of this amazing little place, I feel compelled to write a review. Honestly, I could recommend this place on the quality of the chai alone, which was never bettered throughout the six months I spent travelling around India. But it's Mr. Shashi himself who is the real attraction - a more kind, genuine man I have yet to meet. He hardly speaks English, but his warmth radiates throughout the shop, and somehow travellers throughout the town are drawn in, like moths to a flame. Do yourself a favour and visit - don't worry about how good the chai is, or how good value it is (both are unsurpassed). Just bask in the experience - I'll never forget my long, lazy, perfectly contented afternoons at chai point
Specially thanks to Mr Shashi At forum...
Read moreToday i have visited and ordered a Tea. We are 2 plp and I just asked for a extra small cup. The worker in the store a lady, she is so rude and yelling at me as I have asked for a small extra cup. I have paid 135 rupees for a chai and this stupid store not able to satisfy the customer needs. A month ago I have visited the same place and I have got an extra cup. If they want to charge extra fine, she could convey the same in a proper way. she needs training on how to talk and behave with customers. Now on i will never visit the Chai point. This will not survive longer. I am ready to talk directly with any customer executive...
Read moreWhen everything else fails, Chai Point's Ginger Tea and Banana Cake works. I swear by this snack and it always puts me in the good mood. I can safely say I have tried all the items on the menu and all are good, but their Ginger Tea is something like a healing potion for me. I always have their All Wheat Flour Banana Cake, and sometimes, their regular Banana Cake. Their regular Banana Cake is lighter and fluffier than the all wheat flour one for the obvious reasons, but with health consciousness come great sacrifices. ☺️
One point docked because the tables are always unclean and someone has to tell...
