District 6 in Bangalore is a standout establishment that I had the pleasure of experiencing, and I'm delighted to share my review of this remarkable place.

District 6 is not just a restaurant; it's an entire experience. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an ambiance that effortlessly combines modernity and elegance. The decor is chic and tastefully designed, creating an inviting atmosphere for diners. Whether you're here for a casual meal or a special occasion, District 6 sets the stage for an exceptional dining experience.

Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at District 6 is a culinary journey that spans various cuisines and flavors. Each dish is meticulously crafted and presented with an artistic touch. Whether you're a vegetarian or a meat lover, there's something to satisfy every palate.

The standout feature of District 6 is its commitment to using high-quality, locally sourced ingredients. This dedication to freshness is evident in every dish. Whether you're savoring their signature cocktails, indulging in appetizers, or sipping on their delightful desserts, you can taste the difference that premium ingredients make.

Speaking of cocktails, District 6's bar is a haven for mixology enthusiasts. Their cocktail menu is extensive and innovative, featuring a wide range of concoctions to suit all tastes. The bartenders here are true artisans, and they take pride in delivering drinks that are both visually stunning and incredibly flavorful.

Service at District 6 is top-notch. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to provide recommendations or accommodate special requests. This level of customer service adds to the overall positive dining experience.

This is a German themed microbrewery pub... and they do a great job at that. And the food is excellent! This place has something for everyone. The food and beverages are diverse, with items from multiple cuisines. There's a decent selection of food and drinks for vegetarians and teetotalers too. The ambience is large, spacious, with different seating choices... chairs, couches or tall bar stools. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. My favourite food item so far is the chicken drumsticks that comes with the Assamese Ghost chilly sauce.. Man, it is HOT l!!! (and I'm a chilli freak!) and super delicious! CAUTION! I recommend this dish only for seriously competitive chilli eaters.. For the general public it would be drumsticks to literally "die for". I think it's my duty to make this warning.

Thats the only chicken drumsticks they have. I request the admin to include a simple mild drumsticks items.

I love their citrus and greens salad with feta cheese... there's something caramel-ly in the dressing. Some of the food I have tasted there so far include mushroom risotto, cottage cheese steak (a grilled sandwich filled with mixture of cottage cheese and spinach), and Chipotle veg burger. The burger bun was toasted just right, and had a nice chewy texture and that is a huge plus point for me when I have a burger. The Long Island ice tea had the right amount of alcohol, not too strong neither too mild. The House Lager is great. The cocktails I had are delicious. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a relaxed evening. The music can be a little loud. Choose your seat accordingly. Edit: 5th or 6th visit. Buffalo wings was good. The pieces were huge, tender and succulent. Loved the 'blue cheese' dip that came with it. I'm not a big fan of sweet barbeque sauce with which the wings were slathered, but it was smoky and that added a nice touch to the flavour. Four cheese pizza, Thai green curry, spaghetti aglio olio were all good. Crispy fried lotus stem in garlic chips was very good as starter.

Edit: Ok... I have lost count how many times I have come here. Had Pindi chhole with onion stuffed roti today. It's better than the chhole in most good Punjabi restaurants! The chef here needs some serious...

We visited this place on a Saturday evening and opted for a seat in the non smoking area near the bar counter, where the seats were still available in good numbers. The ambience is dim lit and okayish. The service was good but one thing to note is that they levy service charge of 10percent which is mentioned at the entrance. Since the prices of food items on the menu are already on the higher side, it would be great if they remove this.

At the time of making the payment via swiggy dineout (which provided 10percent additional discount) when i asked them to remove the service charge , the manager walked up to us and advised that since they mentioned at the entrance up front about the same, they can reduce it to 5 percent max.

The service staff attending to us was well mannered but seemed to lack the knowledge of what's best in the menu. We asked him to suggest the best starter in chicken and he was unable to as he was unaware. We ended up ordering bullet chicken which contained peanuts, and chillies and had 8-9 pieces in it. The taste however was totally not up to the mark and cost almost 300 rupees.

As far as drinks are concerned, we ordered mango punch and fruit punch out of which fruit punch was better but mango drink was not at all.

We went ahead to the main course section, and ordered butter nan and chicken masala(containing 4-5 pieces). Butter nan was not soft but thick, and cost around 95 rupees per piece (which contained 2-3 pieces in each). The chicken masala was good though.

Considering the food taste, i would say the prices are a bit on the higher side here. Maybe the alcoholic drinks are better here but we did not get a chance...

We went to District 6 because of the location and it was highly recommended by people who had been there earlier. It looks like he people who had recommended this place to us haven't been there recently. The location (it's in the Sheraton next to Orion Mall) and the exterior are very classy, raising the customer's expectations up a notch. Add to that the prices for the food and beverage - approximately 2K a head without mains - good food and a great time are par for the course, or so one would think. To walk into a place that refuses to acknowledge reservations made, where the seating for a group of more than 4 is challenging, the food is not tasty (try eating runny pizzas, without a standout flavour or a plate of super dry kebabs, served 30 minutes late, which the menu claims was marinated in yoghurt) - one has to say, "seriously"??? And let's not forget the main reason you go there - District 6 claims to be a German styled microbrewery - to be served tasteless flat beer (we were a group, we had the chance to try out multiple beers on tap that day), by a bunch of somnolent wait staff between 8:30pm and 10:00pm on a weeknight - one really has to struggle to find anything positive about the whole experience. The litany about the food and drink can go on, but primarily it's about the lack of good taste in either. In a city that is not short of great pubs and microbreweries, District 6 was a big let down. I wish it was only me, but all of the people in the group felt the same way. In its current form and service, District 6 is on its last legs, location be damned. And that is the tragedy of the place.
