I had been longing to visit Karachi Bakery for a while now ever since I first saw it in Indiranagar. It has been a prominent bakery in Hyderabad since 1953 and opened up several branches in Bengaluru recently. I went in expecting just biscuits and pastries. I was surprised that there was a café-cum-pizzeria too upstairs. As soon as you enter inside, your eyes welcome a splendidly bright and prepossessing view of cupcakes and puffs on stands covered by glass (or may be they were plastic) domes, of a variety of cakes, chocolates and biscuits lined up which will leave you yearning to try and buy all of them. I went upstairs and ordered a ' Green Garlic and Black Pepper Mushrooms sandwich ' - ₹175.24 and a ' Super Rich Vanilla thick shake ' - ₹170.48. I went downstairs to have a look while my order was being prepared. One of the servers came up to me and offered two differently flavoured biscuits. You should definitely consider buying their biscuits! The upstairs café is aesthetically designed. My sandwich was served with a small bowl of salad and French fries. The sandwich was delectable, the salad - fresh, the fries barely had any oil on them and were crunchy - just perfect (and this is coming from a person who doesn't like fries). The thick shake was not particularly impressive albeit it did look delightful. The staff was polite. I started to read an e-book as I ate and drank; I felt like it was the perfect place to unwind, surrounded by a picturesque environment. You'll enjoy the place whether you go individually...
Read moreKarachi Bekary - by hearing the "Karachi" in the name, most will think about that the bekary may be from Karachi ,but it's not. There is a history for this Bekary and the founder.
The founder of the bekary is from Karachi - Pakistan named by Khanchand Ramnani and he migrated to India during partition in 1947, Ramnani, who belonged to a Sindhi family, arrived in India, along with his sons Hansram and Ramdas and their families. The Ramnani family, which settled in Hyderabad, began a bakery, in 1953, at the famous Mozamjahi market. Khanchand may have named it the Karachi Bakery, to honour the city where he had grown up.
The unique recipes brought to India by Khanchand and his sons floored Hyderabad, which is known for its rich culinary heritage. Delicious Osmania biscuits, fruit biscuits, breads and plum cakes, made at the kitchen of Karachi Bakery, drew hundreds of food lovers to their outlet. Though there were many shops which sold Osmani biscuits, it was the unique taste of the ones made at the Karachi Bakery which gave them a footing here.
The brand which gradually grew, now, has 15 outlets in Hyderabad and Secunderabad. Besides, they have opened outlets at many leading cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru as well.

The bakery offers a wide variety of biscuits, including fruit biscuits, chocolate biscuits, atta biscuits, almond biscuits and many more. Their biscuits are all very fresh and tasty. Karachi Bakery also offers a good selection of cakes and pastries. Their cakes are moist and delicious, and they are decorated beautifully. I tried a slice of their chocolate truffle cake, and it was absolutely divine. In addition to biscuits and cakes, Karachi Bakery also offers a variety of other baked goods, such as bread, cookies, and muffins. Their bread is fresh and crusty, and their cookies and muffins are soft and moist. The bakery has a small seating area where you can enjoy your baked goods and savouries.
