Little Italy Indiranagar — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Went multiple times after last review, exact same items were there every time. So little boring but still tastes good.

But today's experience was not good. Today I went there by cycle from 10 km far. reached there before 2:50, waiter told me to wait. I sat on table as soon as it got vacated, He came around 3:10 with alacarte menu after sometime. He said buffet is only available till 3:15😡 then why the hell he told me to wait?! I might have gone to some other place and enjoyed buffet(since all other places have similar closing time around 3:30). When I argued he said you can eat whatever you can till 3:30!! Really? If I am spending some amount for some buffet food then I need to enjoy the food not possible in eating with hurry in 20 mins. I felt I went solo so they took me lightly. Reduced 2 stars from last review :(

I would have gone to some other plac happily if he might have told me as soon as I came. But after the wait, not acceptable. Old review: I just had a sunday brunch buffet. DELICIOUS😍 Not much varieties like other normal buffet but almost all items were very tasty😍

Chat: Potato tikki chat: crispy tikki with tomato, onion, matar, Sev topping, 3 chutneys with sprinkle of masalas! Very tasty 5/5 I tried this first! after that I knew I am going to have good experience 😛

Starters: Bread toast with sauce and tomato: tasty sauce on the top 4.5/5 Corn: actually bitter 3/5 Pav bhaji : pav stuffed with bhaji, butter and cheese😋 nice & Unique 5/5 Tomato soup: felt fresh and rich 5/5 Corn soup: don't like corn soup much but here it was tasty and spicy 5/5

Main course: Margarita pizza: never liked this in other restaurants, where this is the cheapest pizza! But here it changed my opinion... Very tasty 5/5 Lasagna: 4/5 mix veg & biryani main course: not that great 3.5/5 Other pizza: all were awesome with unique taste! I especially liked the pizza with tangy jalapeno topping 5/5

Desserts: Strawberry cheesecake: nice 4.5/5 Stuffed cake (orange color one, present in pictures) : very tasty 5/5 Chocolate bomb: nice 4/5 Small chocolate ball: dense 3.5/5 Other desserts were ok: 3/5

When I asked for a mocktail showing their menu, Some staff at the restaurant told me that no mocktails were available only fruit juice is available, I ended up buying orange juice separately then I noticed some mocktails were available at the buffet counter. Might be due to miscommunication! It cost a little extra! But I ended up drinking fruit juice instead of flavoured water 😂🤞

I have been visiting Little Italy across their Chennai & Bangalore outlets for more than 12 years now. Can’t believe it has been such a long relationship with their very limited menu way back in 2006, to enjoying their Indianised Bombay Pizza & their Litchi Mocktail. Little Italy has been my go to joint for candle light dinners with Wifey on Valentine’s Day, and has been a part of making wonderful memories. So it was an obvious choice when it came for a birthday celebration during our Navarathri vegetarian month. After securing a table through the dineout app, we arrived slightly late than our secured time, still ended up getting a table of our choice.

After being served our soups, a tough choice between Creamy Mushroom & French Minestrone, we were started to be served our appetisers. A brilliant Bruschetta, Cheesy Nachos & a Babycorn Longers

On the soupy front, I should have struck to my family’s safe bet on Mushroom, rather than the Minestrone, which I regretted after the first spoonful.

The appetisers were a flavourful trio, the best being the Bruschetta, not just me, the entire family loved every slice of what was served & the repeat.

The Indianised Pizza was a hit with a decent pasta which was customised to our preference & taste.

Dessert options were great, however I missed the tiramisu from my previous visit. This visit the star was the chocolate Mousse Cake, the creme caramel, mouse cakes were just decent, not great, but wasn’t bad either.

I would not say Little Italy is 100 % Italian, but the Indian sensibility makes the food more interesting and more suitable for the Indian palate. While I am a purist, once in a while would not mind some Fusion in the menu. The spicy pizza was proof that owing to Indian sensibilities can also be done right. Keep up the good work on the food Little Italy

The five star experience was however dampened by the rain, & how the restaurant managed it, badly. The live Pasta counter was moved inside the kitchen because of the dripping water above. The restaurant did not bother to protect the white velvet chocolate from rain, which ended up having glitters if water on top, initially we thought it was glaze but later realised & avoided this dessert completely. Buckle up guys, & hoping to have another decade long...

Bad dine in experience.

Amongst other dishes, we had ordered one portion of vegetarian quesadillas. When the dish arrived, we found that the "vegetarian" filling in the dish was nearly 80% mushroom. And no one in my family eats mushroom.

we complained. the waiter told us that vegetable quesadillas ALWAYS have mushrooms. but offered to take it back and get us real vegetable quesadillas. at this point, enter the manager. he told us mushrooms are vegetables and therefore the dish cannot be returned / exchanged. there is no provision for any other filling in the quesadillas.

We referred the menu again. As you see from the photo of the menu, mushrooms are not mentioned anywhere in the description of quesadillas. simply says filling of your choice. this filling could be either cheese or vegetables.

refer the description of brown rice just below where mushrooms are specified in addition to vegetables. we asked the manager. he then told us that some people do not eat mushrooms, that is why written separately. so why not for quesadillas? no answer and no refund for the dish either.

while the other dishes were delicious, restaurant ambience is nice, this episode left a very bad taste in the mouth. especially when the manager did not accept the restaurant's mistake.

and no, i was not rude in the entire transaction. the manager was not rude either. but his customer service still...
