Thyme The Transit — Hotel in Bengaluru

December 2022 was the worst month for regular travellers like me who were forced to travel even during the pandemic . There were revenge travellers crowding the cities and the hotels were using revenge pricing too ! ( The Mumbai Courtyard near T2 had a room at INR 6000 pre-pandemic and was offering at 4500 during the pandemic time is now not letting a room at anything below 10000) |I had to visit Indiranagar for a quick weekend dash and had booked the thyme. It's a small property built on the NGEF road but as soon as you step in , you will be surprised at the cleanliness of the property. I had to wait a couple of hours for the room but I had coffee and tea available which made the wait easier. |The room for that price was spacious , clean and we'll equipped. I had sunshine through the day in my room . A testament to the way Indiranagar was planned in the olden days with east facing windows aligned to the accommodate for the sunlight . And imagine sitting at the window on a winter morning in Bangalore basking in the warm sunshine having a cup of coffee . the manager wanted to charge us just to block the room, stating that he/they will not find another client at 5 am in the morning. As if people are queuing outside their door waiting to be allotted rooms! Plus I had already called and the lady there confirmed it will be a 3 night stay. It's not our mistake in communication if you say one thing to your prospective guest and another amongst yourselves! Then he has the nerve to tell us if we will find him a replacement which isn't even our responsibility. We pay for the period we stay in, not more not less. It's a pity because the place itself is good, rooms are fair-sized and it is conveniently behind Indiranagar metro so its a good location but the management is shoddy and...

This is a very good hotel in a very reasonable price. The hotel gives you the vibe of being home. Things to be noted: Location: The place is approximately 150-200 meters from the Indranagar metro station. Easily accessible. Hospitality: The staff is is very kind and generous. Food: The hotel provides the basic Tea and coffee service. No need to worry as most of the good places are in a radius of 500 meters. We have KFC, MCDONALD'S, Meghna, CCD and many more places.
