KFC — Restaurant in Bengaluru

KFC is such a brand which convinced a hard core lover of McD like me to become a patron of it. No matter which outlet it may be, they pamper me every time with the tastiest burgers.

This outlet is located near Indian Oil Petrol Pump on New BEL Road, Its quite easy to recognise this restaurant due to its prominent branding and yes, both Zomato & Google maps guides you perfectly.

AMBIENCE: Its just like any other typical KFC outlets, Ground floor serves as serving counter and it has 3 tiny tables for those who don't have time (or might be to too lazy) to climb up the first floor. First floor or mezzanine has a full fledged seating arrangement which can hold a pretty good crowd. The red theme has been crafted very well in the restaurant and wacky wall decals will definitely grab your attention.

SERVICE: Its really slow. Despite of whole counter being empty, it took about 5 mins to the guy at the counter to say "hi" to me. Even after placing the order they took approximately 10 Mins to serve my order. Most slowest service I ever saw in any KFC outlet.

FOOD: The best part of the KFC is, till today they haven't disappointed me with their food in any outlet across India. I opted for meal of Veg Longer and Cheezy Crunch burger. Fries supplied with it was good but not great as usual. They were not so hot and little less crisp. Pepsi on the other hand was good. Veg Longer was awesome with the right amount of cheese, veggies and crispy patty inside. Cheezy Crunch Burger turned out to be so true to its name. The patty was damn crisp and cheese gave an awesome combination. Just loved this burger.

EVERYTHING ELSE: Hygiene factor has been maintained so well in every corner of the restaurant. Cleaning staff are very active and has kept every table clean. Parking wouldn't be a problem for both two and four wheeler as they have a dedicated parking space in the opposite vacant site.

FINAL VERDICT: Except the service issue, this is a great place to hangout on New BEL...

Today, April 21, 2024, I had the most infuriating experience at KFC on BEL Road, Bangaluru. I decided to order through the screen machine, selecting two Chizzas and paying ₹592/- by card. But when I reached the counter, they casually informed me that the Chizza is discontinued! How is it possible that the item is available on the ordering screen but not in the store? Instead of taking responsibility, the lady, whom I assume is the manager, clad in a grey uniform without a name badge, had the audacity to blame me, saying it's my mistake! Refusing a refund and insisting I order something else, she dismissively mentioned I'd have to wait 7 days for a refund with a transaction message.

As I tried to reason with her, she blatantly ignored me, attending to other customers as if my concerns were irrelevant. After serving several others, she finally told me to wait, adding insult to injury. The sheer humiliation and rudeness I faced were beyond belief. When I suggested they display a notice for discontinued items, she had the nerve to tell me to mind my own business!

After what felt like an eternity, I received a refund in cash. But let me tell you, this was an utterly degrading experience. I never expected such appalling behavior from KFC staff. I am thoroughly disappointed and disgusted by the lack of professionalism and basic...

I had ordered from here on 16 September 2020 and order number was 21196519 at 12.45 pm. And expected delivery time was 1.30 pm. At 1.35 I received a mail stating the delivery and feedback form. I contacted customer care , they gave me a number and asked to contact bel road branch as it is ordered there. The number provided is out of order. Again I contacted the customer care. This time I got a response in rude way and in singular form of sentence in local language " customer phone madi hegradthone". Is this the way they speak to customer. Are we not paying money for what we order. This kept on till 2 pm. Finally some delivery boy called me and said I am on the way, finally the food was delivered to my location at 2.10 PM. There awaited the shock. The food was at room temperature. The distance between KFC BEL Road and my house is just 600 m without any traffic signals and zero traffic. So I suggest not to visit KFC.
