We visited this restaurant as a mixed group of Tamil and Kannadiga friends, and it turned out to be quite an interesting dining experience. The restaurant offers two distinct seating options: regular table seating on the ground floor and a more unique Arabian-style family seating on the first floor, where you sit on the floor with cushions. This added a fun and cultural touch to our meal.
The food was a mix of hits and misses for our group. The Celone parotta was a standout—extremely fluffy, well-made, and delicious. The Mandhi biryani was served in a large platter with a generous portion of Mandhi rice and a full cooked chicken, which was dipped in a flavorful masala. While the Kannadiga members of our group absolutely loved the taste and feasted heartily, we Tamil folks found it to be just average. Read moreUpdate on my review: They have recently inaugurated a new floor with good ambience. Majlis seatings and new seating areas. Lovely ambience.
The food is good but I would still say they have a lot of scope to improve taste and tenderness. Someone tell them to brine the chicken for softness. The wheat roti is not fully cooked. Bheja is also not fully cooked. Keema meat seems like low quality. Service is very bad. And they must renew oil sooner for fry items. Please don't let it become black. Very bad for health. Please accept it as a healthy criticism and work on it.
Old review: The ambience and environment has a lot of scope for improvement.
Curries like chicken and mutton are average, less in quantity and overpriced. Ghee rice is fine. Tandoori chicken is not recommended as the chicken is not tender and has rubber like texture. They should seriously learn about how to brine chicken.
Alfaham is average but can be ordered.
Rumali roti is not available and is only given with shawarma which is too average.
Summary in my opinion: overpriced, average, successful due to...
Read moreMadeena Hotel offers a mixed dining experience with a loyal customer base drawn to its flavorful non-vegetarian dishes like Kerala Parota, Tandoori Chicken, Ghee Rice, and Kababs. While many reviews praise the food's taste and variety, especially the ghee rice combinations and grilled items, there are consistent concerns about hygiene, service quality, and occasional undercooked food. Some customers have faced rude staff behavior, delayed service, and issues with incorrect or unsafe orders. Despite its popularity and recent renovations—like new seating areas and improved ambience—the restaurant struggles with cleanliness, parking availability, and food consistency. While some visitors find it worth revisiting for the taste alone, others caution against the lack of hygiene and poor customer service, urging the management to prioritize food safety and staff...
