Nestled next to the Airtel Tower in New Gurappana Palya, Panchami Garden delivers the casual, heartwarming charm of a classic Bengaluru darshini.

As a group, we tried out a few South Indian staples and this is our take :-

Masala Dosa Crisp edges, perfectly folded and generously filled—this dosa delivers on the lauded reputation. Accompanied by warm sambar and coconut chutney, the flavors are balanced, comforting, yet vibrant.

Benne Dosa A buttery twist on the classic dosa, this delivers a golden crunch and richer mouthfeel. The butter elevates each bite, making it a standout indulgence when contrasted with spicier dishes.

Idli Vada Combo Steamed idlis are soft and pillowy, while the vada provides a satisfying crisp. Paired with tangy tomato and cooling coconut chutneys, this duo is a comforting respite.

Kesari Bath Bright, sweet, and fragrant with ghee—this semolina pudding finishes the meal on a nostalgic note. It’s not overly sweet, making it the perfect palate cleanser after savory dishes.

Rice Bath (Curd Rice) Mild, soothing, and lightly tempered—our taste tests confirm this as a hidden gem. The curd rice is homely, subtly creamy, and dotted with mustard seeds and curry leaves, completing the comfort-food experience.

Taste: Homestyle and reliable—masala and benne dosas are the stars, but the comforting accompaniments (idli‑vada, curd rice, kesari bath) round out a satisfying meal.

Ambience: Low-key yet welcoming, with a bustling stand-up section and a quieter AC hall upstairs.

Value: At around ₹300 for two, it’s wallet-friendly without compromising quality.

The place was a complete piece of sht. First, during a hot summer day, when we went for lunch along with my entire family (wife, kids, parents, in-laws, etc), they refused to open the family A/C room and said it's closed and they don't have the key. Then my 2 year son and 75 year old mother wanted to use the restroom and the manager/cashier said it's locked and they don't have the key. The manager or whoever the idiot who was sitting in the cashier table sarcastically asked my mother to use the open ground opposite to the restaurant near the mosque. And we ordered lunch meals and it was very substandard. So, the next time any of you are looking for a decent place to have food, or don't want your parents to get insulted, then avoid this place at all cost. I wonder which brainless ashole would keep the restaurant restroom locked? Particularly when aged people want to use...

Please avoid having tomato ketchup that they offer with Samosas here. It literally paints your fingers in Red colour. God help the innocent people and their stomachs once they have this poison.

These guys should literally be heavily fined for not complying with food safety standards! I'm addressing to the ower of this hotel - " Please bear in mind that you are not doing any charity here. We are paying for it and it's your responsibility to maintain food quality standards" How can you be so irresponsible for people's health safety...???
