I recently visited Madurai Idly Shop for the second time, and I must say, the food never fails to impress me. The taste is amazing. We ordered Podi Idly, Gobi Fried Rice, Rava Masala Dosa, and Kothu Paratha, and each dish was an explosion of flavors in our mouth.
The Podi Idly had a perfect balance of spices and tasted heavenly. The Gobi Fried Rice was flavorful, and the vegetables were cooked to perfection. The Rava Masala Dosa was crispy and had a generous filling of masala, which was delicious. The Kothu Paratha was a unique dish, and we loved the blend of spices and flavors in it.
The prices are reasonable, and the quantity of food served is also adequate. The restaurant has a good capacity for seating, and we didn't face any issues finding a table. Additionally, two-wheeler parking is also available, which is convenient for customers who come on bikes or scooters.

Parcel order through zomato giving spoiled sour taste foul smell food ..even after paying 460 rupees for breakfast.. be aware with this hotel. It's not genuine..I'm going to give complaint to food inspector for cheating online customers..giving old previous day food to online order ..I'm suffering from food poison after eating the food .. full smelly bubble raised spoiled chutney..upma became soggy.. received on time ..but even then it was so cold ..i had a doubt .. finally it's proved that it's previous day food.. please stop ordering online and Zomato swiggy u partner a hotel who do fraud ..DO THE RESTAURANT OWNER FAMILY GIVE THIS FOOD TO THEIR KIDS AND OLD ONES ? ..IF THIS CONCIOUS IS NOT WITH U.. Never ever visiting this place again! The food is highly overpriced and absolutely not worth it.
👉 Check my bill – they charged ₹71.43 for 2 idlis (₹37.5 per idly!) which you can get 10 idlis outside for the same price. 👉 A tiny single vada costs ₹30 – totally unreasonable. 👉 Even tea is overpriced and tastes below average.
The taste is horrible, not authentic at all – bland and disappointing. They also run everything on a confusing software billing system – what you ask vs. what you get charged is totally different.
⚠️ Overall – over and over priced, pathetic taste, worst value for money.
Final Verdict: 1/10 star experience – never going back.
