I never imagined I would be writing a review for my fav outlet like this. I had theeeeee WORSTTTT experience from the service and the management. When I ordered food (Mixed veg, chapathi and noodles), I double time checked whether you add cauliflower to the mixed veg, if yes to let me know, if that's the case I said I would go for the next option. The service person mentioned there is no cauliflower at all in the mixed veg curry. I thought as she is service perosn and might not know, I even asked her to check with the chef and let me know as I have allergic reactions with cauliflower. She was 100 percent sure about not having cauliflower in their curry and assured me on that. Third time I asked her are you sure. After her super confirming "Im sure". I went on with finalising the order. When they served the food, to my astonishment I saw the cauliflower in the curry and called her and asked "what's this?? didn't I enquired about exactly this before ordering, even asked you to check in the kitchen". Carelessly she was replying like " its just 2 pieces of cauliflower which might have slipped" going on with "veg curry means every veg will come". Not even taking responsibility of her mistake or regretting about her fault which was too provoking. The manager came to the table and said we will prepare a new one for you without cauliflower and bring, I told them to ignore it and I said I will go with some other curry but they insisted on making it right. I agreed on it to not to make it big and they brought back the curry again and I had some, after eating half the food I found they just minced the cauliflower to small pieces which was too shocking, annoying, irritating. How could they be so irresponsible and commit same mistake repatedly as a team. Is this how this brand built???????. When I called the manager again for this he came saw apologised and the manager came up with super creative solution of giving a complementary icecream and they didn't even care about my health. I completely ignored their so called " complementary" and paid the complete bill. I got my allergies now as I'm back home. The worst worst worst experience I ever had in my life especially with such big brand. Highly disappointed and irritating with service and management. Hope "Dindigal Thalapakkatti" who built such big brand looks into training people before appointing. I'm looking forward what complementary are they going to give for my health now. Such an devastating experience. I'm wondering are these restaurants are doing a charity work or doing a give away ???? We are paying for the food right? Minimal thing of taking care of customer need is not even there then what's the whole point? Read moreWe had been to this outlet in Jayanagar on 9th April, 2022 to place a takeaway order as I wanted to introduce the thalappakatti style biryani taste to my family.
Reference: Bill numbers 933 & 935 / Token numbers 164 & 167 Order was placed at 2023 hrs with an assurance that it would be ready within 10-15 min. Even at 2100 hrs our order was not ready nor delivered to us.
Meanwhile at the restaurant customers who had come after us had even ordered and completed their food.
No proper reason was being given, later came to know that one of the item in our order the veg biryani was being brought from. another outlet. Why was this not informed earlier as we would have cancelled that item and would have taken the other preparations which would have atleast been hot.
As nothing happened till 2100 hrs, had to cancel the order at 2105 hrs as we did not need any cold food supplied to us. We had to go back disappointed, hungry and angry to another restaurant with better services. Very disappointed by their service and will have to think a lot before coming into their restaurant again.
I hope their Hygiene in the kitchen is OK as I did not feel the same at their restaurant when their staff were moving in and out of the kitchen.
My query is incase you cannot fulfil your order, then why do you take the order ? Is it correct to give cold food to a customer ? Is it difficult to apologize to the customer for the mistake done by the restaurant and make the customer feel comfortable ? Is it correct to get your customers angry when they are hungry ?
In any ethical business practices if the customer has placed an order after confirming the time taken for the order and when payment is made in full for the same, Then it is the moral and ethical responsibility of the restaurant to fulfil the order as promised.
Any difficulty is to be informed to the customer in advance and not when queried after 30 minutes of waiting. This way of insulting a customer who has come to your restaurant when hungry and getting him angry is not correct and not at all the so called thalappakatti customer service.
Even if your Food is good, Please note that your Pathetic service would surely bring your business down.

Read moreWorst service here, I was waiting more than 15 minutes there and till that time no one was asked me about my name or any other details. After 15 minutes one person came and asked my name. After I said my name he said that I have to wait 30 minutes. I asked why should I wait 30 minutes again he said I dint tell my name to him it seems. How the I know or customers know that should tell their name once they entered. There is no any board or no one was there to share this information to the customers. This is not the right way to treat the customers whoever coming in hungry. First you should see the camera and talk with me. Don’t communicate with me in rude. I told them to check camera also. But they said no I won’t check and I was there in enterance door. Then I asked if you there how you missed me while entering there ?
Then no answer from them. We are paying money for food. So educate to the people working there in Thalapakatti. You not giving anything free of cost. Treat with respect and if you want to check the camera go and check I never mind. He was not there. And place a notice board or any kind of notice to know the customer to share their details.
