Went here for lunch today
You'd think Nandos would be super popular because it has everything that Indian customers would want: Spicy food , specialty chicken, peri peri being super popular as well. Unfortunately they don't seem to hit a home run with this branch at least.
The GOOD stuff:
They have everything on the table. Neatly arranged plates, signature hot sauces in service bottles, a small string hockey game. The menus are really great, you have spice options as well as allergen info. This is something I don't see Indian fast food places do a lot - allergen indicators can be really useful for people with extreme reactions to certain ingredients . Also they use an hourglass sand timer to show you how much time is left before your food arrives.
The ambience is pretty nice, Portugese, Brazillian and Carribbean music in the background. Simplistic but stylish furniture. I liked sitting here to eat.
The OKAY stuff:
We're coming to the food. I ordered the Grande Slaw burger with peri peri chips (aka fries) , the Peri Peri wings, the Churros and a bottomless coke (basically unlimited)
The burger was tender, I liked the dryness of the Portuguese buns. Most people here think the buns aren't meant to be dry, but that's how it's supposed to look. The grilled butterfly chicken cut was tender but it was pretty bland ( I ordered the hot option btw). I think as far as spice is considered, extra hot is the only way to go. The hot sauces upto hot are mild at best. The chicken wings were okay, they're pretty big but not spicy either. Just plain grilled wings with a slight dash of peri peri seasoning. The Churros are pretty good though, really liked them. If you're going here the churros are definitely worth a try.
Overall, an average restaurant. It's on the more expensive side but it tastes fresh. They definitely don't...
Read moreA fine Friday afternoon, we were in search of good restaurants for our special lunch, it’s special because it was July the 12th, my best friend’s birthday. After warming the seats of many restaurants and getting disappointed with their menu, we finally landed on this restaurant. visited this place. Located in the ground floor of phoenix market city, has got both indoor and outdoor seating arrangements. Considering numma bengaluru’s current beautiful weather, we decided to dine indoors. The place looks interesting with colorful interiors and comfortable couches and chairs, we were attended by Ms.Kavita. We started exploring the menu as soon as we got them in our hands. As usual my eyes caught the caesar salad and french fries and my friends decided to have a chicken burger and some paneer peeta bread. One eternity later, Ms.Kavita came to our table to take our order. The order was almost placed but my friend sucggested me to take a burger instead of a salad, So we cancelled the caesar salad and added vegetarian burger to the order along with wedges. We ordered the beverages as well, peach with elderly flower and a citrus bliss something, I dont remember the exact name. Order did arrive quie quick, the dishes looked beautiful, did appear healthy and did taste good as well. There were multiple bottles of sauces kept at the counter, we tried each and every available sauce and we ended up eating our burger with tomato ketchup. The drinks were good, refreshing and served the purpose.
It was bit challenging to search the hand wash area, but finally we found it, it was right at the corner of the restaurant camouflage with the black wall.
Had a peaceful time, a good place to try. The overall rating is 3.5 stars, but...
Read moreNando's at Phoenix Marketcity has a warm and inviting atmosphere with stylish interiors. The lighting is cozy, and the seating is comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual dining and group gatherings. The music was at a pleasant volume, and the place had a lively yet relaxed vibe.
The food was excellent, staying true to Nando’s signature peri-peri flavors. I tried the Peri-Peri Chicken with Spicy Rice and Coleslaw, and it was perfectly grilled with the right level of spice. The chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the sides complemented it well. The Garlic Bread was fresh and buttery, adding a nice touch to the meal. The only minor downside was that the portion size could have been slightly larger.
The service was exceptional, and a special mention goes to Pepe, who made our experience even better. She was extremely friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. She helped us choose the right spice level, ensured our food was served on time, and checked in to see if we needed anything else. Her warm and welcoming attitude added a personal touch to our dining experience.
The pricing is on the higher side, but considering the quality and flavors, it’s worth it. A meal for two can cost around ₹1,500–₹2,000, depending on the choices. The taste and experience justify the price, making it a good option for an occasional indulgence.
Overall, Nando’s at Phoenix Marketcity is a great place for those who love grilled, flavorful chicken with a spicy kick. The ambiance is nice, the food is delicious, and the service, especially from Pepe, was commendable. It’s an ideal spot for friends, families, and even solo diners who enjoy bold flavors. If you’re a fan of peri-peri chicken, this place won’t...
