View = Good. Food = Decent. We ordered a dish each from the Share a Meal along with the Grilled Chicken Cataplana.
From the Share A Meal we had:
The Peri Chicken Naan. Description in Menu: (Chicken pieces in spicy sauce, grated mozzarella, fresh red onion and coriander, served with drizzle of yoghurt sauce) Basically a large piece of Naan with multiple chicken pieces with curry arranged on it. This dish tasted more like a traditional Indian Meal. But it was still pretty good. Looked amazing as well.
The Pulled Chicken Burger was a standard burger, had good sauce and toppings. Description in Menu:(Saucy pulled chicken and a slice of cheese served on a toasted portuguese roll.)
Then there was the Chicken Skewers, Pita and Fresh Salsa:
It was a plate of around 5 chicken skewered on a stick. There was some side salad and a couple of sauces provided along with some Pita Bread. The Pita bread was really good, though small in size. When all of the different components were taken together, the dish tasted amazing. Description in Menu:(Tender chicken strips and pineapple skewers served with toasted pita, yoghurt dip and salsa)
Finally we had the Cataplana.
Grilled Chicken Cataplana was served in a copper pot, with steaming peri-peri chicken pieces, rice and grilled vegetables. Tasted Good. Menu Desription:(Chicken thighs, chunky veg and spicy rice prepared in a tomato sauce and served in traditional copper dish.)
Service was a bit unusual. You either love it or hate it. You had to go the cashier, place the order and pick up plates, cutlery and sauces. The dishes would be brought to your table. If you wanted to place any further orders, you could do so from your table itself. If you wanted more plates, cutlery or sauces, you could do so from your table itself through a waiter. Then why the circus in the beginning? :/ Might as well start placing orders, and delivering plates from our table in the beginning itself yeah?
The waiters were great and helpful, good view from the restaurant and the food did not lack.
Docking a point for the unusual service.

Read moreAfter two weeks in Bangalore, first time having an unsatisfactory experience at a restaurant. First off, let me say that waiters Shamim and Jamuna were very attentive, and the bad experience was not at all their fault. We even left them a tip.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the service was really slow. We ordered the classic burger with a side of three bean salad, and Peri chicken with garlic naan plus a side of grilled vegetables. The burger, salad and grilled vegetables finally arrived first. The vegetables were supposed to be grilled, but it looked like they had been deep-fried, they were covered in oil. Even when you would sauté vegetables, they would not be this oily and greasy. We sent them back and ordered the Portuguese salad instead. The salad wasn’t half bad. The chicken on the burger was on the dry side but otherwise tasted ok.
Then came the Peri chicken with garlic naan. Could be us, but the chicken tasted quite sour, in addition to the expected spiciness. And the garlic naan, again, was very greasy. We complained about this to our waiters, and Jamuna offered us a side of french fries on the house. Those french fries turned out to be the star of the meal LOL. QUITE TASTY!
As a last point, I want to mention that the bathroom was not quite up to the standard you’d expect from a restaurant of this caliber at this up-scale location. Not clean, no towels and a non-functioning air dryer so no way to dry your hands after washing.
All in all, a deserved three star...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at Nando's Orion Mall. Despite having enjoyed Nando's at various locations, this one fell short, especially compared to the excellent service and food quality at Indira Nagar. The skewer dish we were coerced into ordering turned out to be frozen and poorly cooked, with cold meat inside. Even the famous grilled chicken was a letdown, tasting like a frozen dish rather than fresh.
To add to the disappointment, the three-bean salad was a major miss, not suiting our palate at all. We took a few bites and realized it was poorly executed. The Mediterranean salad was equally disappointing. I am so dissatisfied with my brunch today that I'll be sharing pictures to illustrate just how subpar it was.
Overall, the unimpressive service, unappetizing main dishes, and poorly executed salads left me extremely upset. I wouldn't recommend this place, especially given its prime location in Orion Mall near the central business district. Despite visiting during brunch hours, the grill wasn't even turned on, adding to the overall disappointment.
I won't be returning and strongly advise against anyone else going either. Instead, I recommend the Indira Nagar outlet for a much better Nando's experience in terms of both food quality...
