If coming from in front of MCC, take the right into Loafer Lane. The stall is 50 m down the road to the right. DESCRIPTION RR's Blue Mount is an iconic eatery on Loafer Lane in Vasant Nagar. The favourite haunt of the Mount Carmel Students, it has gone down in history for its famous Mexican Chaat. Rajendran and Mini from Kerala started this obscure-looking eatery 'sometime in the early nineties', because they wanted to do something of their own, and because Mini just loves cooking. Their labour of love has totally paid off. Almost 25 years later, they have the same smiles and enthusiasm as they happily serve one customer after another. Mini cooks everything herself, including the nachos which are made every morning. Most of the recipes are her inventions and thus you have Mexican Chaat, a finger-licking preparation of nachos, red beans and cheese. Another one called Boat has a pastry base (again, made by Mini herself) stuffed with a mince meat filling and served with a couple of garlic bread slices on the side. Delta, a bread pizza of sorts, is also a favourite. They also have sought after desserts such as the Hot Chocolate Fudge etc. which are available at reasonable rates and hence hugely popular. SPECIAL INFORMATION All orders are personally prepared by either Raju or Mini. They don't have any staff by design because they want to maintain the quality they have established. 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM is usually busy at the outlet. Beautiful place run by a couple since the 80's. The Mexican chaat is a dish available here, which is not available anywhere else in bangalore! It's a must have. The deltaaz and sandwich are amazing too. The chicken sandwich was a delight. It felt like I bit into a big triangular slice of cake made with brown bread chicken sauces and some fillings. The sandwich was very monolithic in the hand and didnot spill or get messy while eating. It wasn't crispy or hard at the edges which hurt while taking a bite. It was soft as a cake and upon chewing gives you the satisfaction that good food should give. Heavenly. Will definitely recommend to friends and family.
