Tim Hortons Bengaluru: A Sweet Arrival (Worth the Hype for Java Chip and Timbits) Tim Hortons has finally arrived in Bengaluru, and based on my recent visit, it's a welcome addition to the city's coffee scene! Here's why:
Java Chip Dream:
I've been waiting to try Tim Hortons for a long time, and their signature Java Chip did not disappoint. This creamy blend of coffee and chocolate chips was a delightful treat. For ₹270, it's a bit on the pricier side, but the taste and quality justify the cost to some extent.
Timbits: Bite-Sized Bliss:
The Timbits, bite-sized donut holes offered in various flavors, are a must-try. They're light, fluffy, and perfect for a quick and satisfying sweet bite. They come in a variety of flavors, so there's something for everyone.
A Treat for Bengaluru:
The arrival of Tim Hortons in Bengaluru is a delightful treat for the city's coffee lovers. While the Java Chip might be a bit pricey, its taste and the delicious Timbits make it a worthwhile experience.
Overall:
Tim Hortons offers a delicious take on coffee and donuts. If you're looking for a satisfying and flavorful coffee experience with a sweet treat on the side, Tim Hortons is a strong contender.
Recommendation:
Try the Java Chip, but be prepared for a slightly higher price point. Don't miss out on the Timbits! Explore the different flavor options and find your favorite. If you're on a budget, consider other menu options like brewed coffee or a smaller pastry. Tim Hortons is a welcome addition to Bengaluru's coffee scene, offering a taste of Canadian coffee culture with a local twist.

Read moreSo I went into Tim Hortons in the cyber hub, Gurgaon about 9 months back and I was floored by their coffees, taste of all their food and beverages, no skimping and over all great experience. I was hoping one would open in bangalore soon and 9 months later open it did. But that's actually where the excitement kind of started to die down. I got a chance to visit it yestrday and the coffee (their flagship French vanilla with espresso) was somehow not up to the mark. Equally their chicken cheese melt sandwich that was fantastic in all respects when I'd had it in Gurgaon was sorely lacking in all respects this time. The bread tasted stale and dry. There was just a smidgen of chicken and cheese in the centre of the sandwich with an inch all around where you're just biting around dry tasteless bread because there just no filing there. What a far cry from the first time I'd had it - It was luscious, tasty and literally overflowing with the filling of chicken and cheese from all sides. What I had yestrday was like a very sad imitation of the same. A travesty really
I was really hoping that they'd do well and keep it up. But looks like they may not be up to a good start even. Of course the ambience and service is pretty good. But when I'm paying top rupee for my food and beverage I expect top food and beverage quality and quantity.
They have a rough road ahead of them. They may do well in the beginning but if they do not pull up their socks and get their basics right then I'm sorry to say they may be the one of those chains that have closed down fast too. Dunkin donuts in bangalore...
Read moreI have fond memories of beginning my days at Timmies during my time in Canada and visiting this outlet was a great way to scratch the nostalgia itch.
The ambience is great, and there are many types of seating available to accommodate people working, engaged in meetings, on dates etc. Enough seats have access to a power outlet so you shouldn't have difficulty finding one to plug in your laptop even when crowded.
Coming to the food itself, there are a lot of additions to the menu for the Indian market along with the tried and tested Canadian favorites. Tried the Maple dip donut and Blueberry timbits and they both tasted exactly the same as in Canada. Vegetarians should note that while there are a lot of vegetarian options among sandwiches, croissants, etc, none of the donuts or timbits are eggless. This is surprising because the exact same donuts which are confirmed to have no eggs in Canada are said to have them here in India.
As for the drinks, you cannot find the original humble 'double double' on the menu since they only serve espresso drinks for coffee (the double double advertised as a 'signature drink' in here is a latte). However, you can enjoy other iconic Timmies drinks like the French vanilla and the iced capp. The iced capp, in particular, is highly recommended.
I found the staff to be the best trained among cafe and fast food chains in India. They are friendly and make you feel at home with menu...
