Chaayos cafe Kormangala Bangalore — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Worst Chaayos cafe till now. I have been to other outlets but this Koramangala Outlet is not at all good. We ordered 2 kulhad desi chai, kulhad pav bhaji, choco dense cake. The kulhad chai was cold and just an ordinary chai which was not prepared well. We asked to heat the chai, they put it in microwave and forgot to give us back, after waiting for 20 minutes they again asked us to provide them some time to get the tea. Again, in the next round it was cold. Kulhad Pav bhaji was not at all worth it, very small quantity of bhaji with just normal taste. While ordering through their tablet, the counter guy told that he will mark the order in the tab, we were supposed to get 1 bakarwadi box because our bill amount was 762 which was more than 560 rupees and there was this offer of 1 bakarwadi box, but to our surprise that guy did not apply that offer and it was showing us in the tab, he gave us the excuse that he was not able to see the offer and only we can select that offer, but at the same time he told us that he will be marking our order in the tab. So, because of his miscommunication, we missed out the offer and after discussing this with him, he told that we can again order next time for rupees 560 + and can...

I felt compelled to share my experience at this café. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt dull and uninviting. The staff looked visibly unhappy and unmotivated, which unfortunately reflected in the service—they were slow, unresponsive, and chairs were so dirty . It felt like they didn’t want to be there, and that energy was hard to ignore.

The food was quite underwhelming. For the prices they charge, I expected something at least decent, but what I got felt like a waste of money. The presentation was basic, and the taste didn’t justify the cost at all. The coffee, which should be the highlight of any café, was completely off—it lacked flavor, depth, and freshness. Honestly, it tasted more like warm water than coffee.

I really wanted to like this place, but nothing about my visit made me want to return. The combination of bland food, bad coffee, poor service, and a gloomy vibe makes it hard to recommend. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes improvements, because right now, it’s just...

Chaayos Koramangala has consistently disappointed with its poor service and lack of professionalism. Staff are often seen chatting at the counter while customers wait, and orders are frequently wrong. Coffee sometimes tastes like leftover tea—possibly due to unwashed cups—and any polite feedback is met with defensiveness rather than a willingness to resolve the issue.

This isn’t a one-off. The staff’s behavior noticeably improves when senior officials are around, proving they know what good service looks like but choose not to offer it to regular patrons.

Additional concerns include unhygienic conditions (dirty tables, flies), inconsistent food quality, cold or reheated drinks, and prices that don’t match the value delivered.
