Ujwal Family Bar&Restaurant — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Ujwal Family Bar sounds like an oxymoron and not surprisingly, the entrance to the place gives off a rather shady vibe. We went there for the highly recommended seafood eventhough the ambience is not the best. The server ushered us into an empty room on the ground floor which he proudly announced was the Family section. The room was clean enough and family friendly. We ordered the Anjal Tawa Fry for starters and the Egg Biryani and Prawn Ghee Roast. The fish fry was a bit overdone but tasted alright. The biryani came with raita and salna. The food tasted good probably aided by the copious amounts of oil used. On the whole, not a bad meal and very pocket friendly, though my recommendation to the chef would be to go easy...

I would have given no star if the option was there. We had visited this restaurant with family, we ordered two starters 1 veg and 1 non Veg. instead of that he gave prawn fry and charged for the same we requested him to take back the wrong order but he refused to take it back and demanded to pay for the same. And made us wait till the mid night and the staffs were abusing us with the foul languages. Worst experience ever with this restaurant in the family room the rats were running around when we complained to the staff about it they just ignored. Well the only place in RT Nagar for commoners like us. But what places this restaurant a class apart is Food. Liquor is same wherever you go, but food is one thing that makes a standing statement and every thing else, like ambience, services and facilities follows. Staff is really courtesy and they put up a projector screen during matches. Tables are neatly arranged, a little more discretion could have been appreciated.
