Ujwal Family Bar And Restaurant — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Very friendly. I am coming to this place from last 10yrs. Managers and waiters are very good. Food and Drinks are affordable.

Edit 30/11: 12yrs in this bar and restaurant. Today was a very bad service with one waiter. Throws the bill on the table and walks away. Even when I ask why he did that, he argues and refuses to accept. He doesn't care, "owner na karithira, kari" Unfortunately I had already paid the bill and tips too.

The owner is a nice person. Managers are good. But these waiters throw so much attitude.

If the owner/Manager can talk to me, I can give some suggestions.

Edit: 20/12 - The waiter who threw the bill, his name is lokesh. There are two Lokesh here. Young Lokesh is an issue. Now whenever I come, he refuses to serve me. The other good Lokesh comes to help. Hopefully someone sees this and train that person on customer service

Edit 20/05/2025: Mr owner I changed my review to 1 star. Your pathetic waiter is still there and trying to intimidate me. I am a regular here. I spend atleast 20k in your Ujwal Bar and Restaurant at Sanjaynagar Main road.

Edit: 23/05/2025: Finally after 12 yrs done with Ujwal Bar and Restaurant Sanjaynagar. Owner is angry of the review. Instead of correcting their mistake it was dadagiri. Refused to serve. Done. No more with this type of behavior. He blames me that I was drunk. Pathetic.

Finally: 8th Jan 2026: Don't even order food from Swiggy or zomato. Worst place.

Visited this places with a few friends and have been a regular customer of the place for many years. Over the year's, the service seems to be dipping and not improving. Weekends are extremely busy with families in one section of the restaurant and men with all tables full on the other side. Food quality has dropped and there is very little preference for good food especially over the weekend. I would recommend that you can visit this place during evening, which is less crowded and chaotic. Staff keep chatting on corner of the room, when customers end up calling out for assistance and placing orders. The family section of the restaurant is much better managed, compare to the terrace garden. Overall nothing great about this place, since even food is overpriced. No great liquor options, make this place a one time visit.

I had visited this place in 2010 and never had the opportunity to visit again. This time arpund happened to pass and remembered pepper chicken, with 2 minds should i really try , will the quality be same, well why not for that familiar pepper chicken. Results the quality was same for pepper chicken, then followed by guntur chicken, they didnt tell and i assumed it will be dry, landed up gettinf very watery and nither semi dry or full dry. My fault to have double checked. I didnt like it , requested them to change, worthy to mention their manager who will not accept even you explain i want full dry or semi, he took and replaced by removing the liquid and gave it. It was really bad.. Be very and double check while ordering. Absolutely disappointing 😞 experience with rude attitude. Thank you tram Ujwal Family.
