Wanley in Indiranagar has been around for a really long time. It is one of the go to places for Chinese food and it is very budget friendly as well. The taste here is authentic and the service is super fast as well. We went here for a quick dinner and found this place to be worth every penny. We had the following while we were at Wanley.
We started off with the Chilly Prawn. The quantity provided is much better than what most of the other places do, the taste is nice and spicy, the dish is dominated with a mix of chilli and garlic. A must try when you visit Wanley.
For main course we had the Schezwan Chicken Fried Rice. The rice was cooked to perfection, the salt and sauces were mixed to perfection with the right amount of spice, the chicken chunks were small and nice, overall the fried rice was amazing.
The Chicken Noodles may have been bland but with the right curry choice one can surely enjoy this dish whole heartedly. We had Dragon Chicken and this was a nice combo that served us well.
Dragon Chicken curry is spicy and tangy at the same time. The amount of chicken pieces provided is a lot and all the main course dishes are best shared, as they do provide really good quantity. The aroma of this dish is very tempting and you will surely end up having loads of this.
Overall you will enjoy your time at Wanley, the place looks very simple and not a fancy place at all. It is their service and food that really wins you over and for that reason you should surely visit them. Parking maybe a hassle for a four wheeler but you can park in the parallel lanes and walk to Wanley. You can find them at 421/P, Sri Krishna Temple Road, Off 100 Feet Road, Indiranagar, Bangalore.

Read moreWankey, an Indian-Chinese restaurant nestled in the heart of Indira Nagar, Bangalore, is a culinary gem that absolutely deserves every bit of praise it receives. This charming eatery is a delightful fusion of Indian and Chinese cuisines, creating a symphony of flavors that's both unique and familiar.
Our dining experience at Wankey was truly memorable, making it the perfect finale to our time in Bangalore. The restaurant's ambiance, while simple and evocative of bygone days, added a touch of nostalgia and comfort to our meal. The simplicity of the decor allowed the food to take center stage, and rightly so.
We commenced our feast with the Burnt Garlic Soup. This dish was a revelation – clear, light, yet bursting with umami, setting a high bar for the courses to follow. And indeed, the subsequent dishes did not disappoint. The Chilli Garlic Chicken was a perfect blend of spicy and savory, while the Gobi Manchurian was a delightful vegetarian option, rich in flavors.
The main course featured Singapore Noodles and Chilli Garlic Fried Rice. Each dish was a standout, showcasing the perfect balance of spices and textures that Indian-Chinese cuisine is celebrated for. The noodles were expertly seasoned, while the fried rice was a harmonious mix of bold garlic and chilli notes.
Not only was the food exceptional, but the pricing was also surprisingly affordable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. This, coupled with the impeccable service we received, made our dining experience truly enjoyable.
In conclusion, Wankey is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Indian-Chinese cuisine. Their mastery in blending the culinary traditions of India and China is evident in every dish they serve. Whether you're a local or just passing through Bangalore OR a local, a meal at Wankey is sure to be a highlight of your...
Read moreGood Chinese food and generous portions. The prices are alright as well. I ordered Cantonese Wanley Noodles which has Chicken,Pork and Shrimp. Shrimp was not available so I skipped that. The portion was good and the taste was mild and not overblown. Hunan dry chicken was nice and mildly spicy. Also got an egg fried rice and yet again the flavours are not overblown. The restaurant took their own sweet 45 minutes to serve us because there were a lot of dunzo orders around the starting time. Parking is also an issue. Otherwise good place to eat Chinese food for around 300-400rs per head.
So who is this restaurant for? You are someone who likes to visit places which has withstood the test of time, have a rustic feel and are yet to modernize. You want to eat some good Chinese food/want to cover restaurants which serve Chinese cuisine. You like dining in dim lights.
This restaurant is not for- People who are looking for amazing ambiance. People who want quick service/Chinese fast food. Someone who is planning to visit in a car. Best get your order delivered.
Interestingly this is the first time I have ever received a handwritten bill at a hotel in Bangalore which is a nice personal touch. I request the owner to never change this little detail because honestly I am tired of those...
