Altair Rendezvous Kolkata was truly memorable, and not just for the stunning views! While the hotel's ambience and facilities are top-notch, what truly stood out was a unique culinary experience centered around their kulchas and the soup I had. I really wish I could recollect the soups name I had. I was genuinely impressed by the innovative take on kulchas. I told the waitstaff that I didn’t ordered the pizza when I saw it. Now that I know that it’s a Kulcha with quesadilla like stuffing made to look like pizza, I would skip ordering the curries on the side. I had hard time deciding should I just enjoy the Kulcha by itself or have it with the curries. Adding to this delightful experience was the absolutely outstanding service provided by Goma. Goma was genuinely warm and welcoming, delightful to interact with.Her friendly demeanor made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. She truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, demonstrating a level of hospitality that is rare and truly appreciated. Monotel 's Rendezvous has launched a puja special mahabhoj buffet which is available from October 1 to October 4 th. They have included kolkata's famous and unique food items in their menu.The buffet consists of more than 50 items. I have tried the buffet and I loved each & every item. Specially during the pujas we crave for some bengali food and our heart desires for some puchka, papri chaat, biryani. But you don't need to worry anymore because these items are also included in the buffet. From the starters I loved the gondhoraj chicken roll. Its had an amazing flavour of gondhoraj and minced chicken coated in bread crumbs. Then I tried the topshe macher fry which tasted heavenly. The fish was so soft and juicy and fresh. One unique thing I tried was khichuri papad badamer chop which you can surely try. Then in main course I loved the mutton biryani which consisted of juicy mutton, potato & egg. I also tried Macher paturi, sahi dimer korma , murshidabadi chicken kosha. These items went well with the sada bhat & basanti pulao.
