I recently visited the much-hyped Craft Coffee Experience Center in Salt Lake FD Block, expecting a refined, premium café experience. Unfortunately, what I got instead was a masterclass in disappointment.
Let’s start with the food — or should I say, the salt? the dish we had was overwhelmingly salty, as if the chef had mistaken the salt shaker for a flavour enhancer. Not only was the taste off, but the portion sizes was shockingly small for the steep price point. It felt less like a meal and more like a tasting session only no one had warned me it would be this unpleasant.
The presentation of the food was equally disheartening, completely lacking in professionalism or flair. For a place that brands itself as a “craft experience,” it was anything but. If anything, the only thing that looked remotely appealing was the bill, signaling the end of this culinary mishap.
The only redeeming factor in this entire fiasco was the tiramisu. It was genuinely good, creamy, balanced, and well-made. I have to admire the craftsmanship that has gone into making of such beautiful dessert. But one dessert can’t carry the weight of an entire failed dining experience.
To make matters worse, the staff’s behavior was unprofessional and borderline indifferent. Hospitality seemed like an afterthought. If the owner reads this, here’s a sincere piece of advice: please train your staff — especially those interacting directly with customers. Basic courtesy and attentiveness are not optional in the service industry.
Craft Coffee may have the ambience and branding, but until they fix their fundamentals, it’s all just glitter with no gold. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend it unless major...
