Hatari Restaurant — Restaurant in Bidhannagar

Lt. Kamal Nayan Mukerjee founded the Hatari Restaurant in Kolkata on Gariahat Road after the name of the movie Hatari released in 1966. Its 54 years since then Hatari is ruling the hearts of Kolkatans with its speciality in Chinese Cuisine and other cuisines as well. It's one of the most favorite go to places for Kolkatans for authentic chinese cuisine. I am also a huge fan of this brand from a long time and I like trying out the different outlets of a brand. Few months ago, Hatari opened up their another outlet in Salt Lake, the address reads as — CF-149, CF Block, Salt Lake Sector 1, Bidhannagar, Kolkata — 700064. I had recently visited this place with my friends. I was relieved to see they are maintaining all safety and hygiene checks. Their interior decor is very neat, simple and sober. A classy look has been given by wallpapers and chandeliers. They provide a seating of approx 15 - 20 people. I tried out —

Starters — Crispy Chilli Mushroom — For starters I ordered Crispy Chilli Mushroom. Fresh, soft, succulent mushrooms sautéed perfectly in chinese sauces and a crispy exterior. I liked it.

Main Course — Veg Thai Noodles — I totally loved it as it was loaded with veggies like mushrooms, broccoli, bell peppers, onion, babycorn, lettuce and perfectly spicy.

Budhha Delites — To go along with the noodles I ordered this. This item is a thick, creamy, gravy dish consisting of mushrooms, broccoli, bell peppers, onion, babycorn, cucumber, lettuce and had hot and sweet flavour to it.

Mocktails — Strawberry Flow — In beverages, I ordered for Strawberry Flow. The mocktail was really refreshing, thick in density and thirst-quenching.

Along with this, my friends tried out KungFung Soup, Mongolian Chicken, Prawn with Red Wine, Chicken Dum Biryani, Smoky Lamb, Singapuri Mixed Rice Noodles. They too found the respective dishes to be mouth-watering delicious, very different in taste and appreciated the cooking style. The items are priced at very reasonable rates considering both the quality and quantity of food. The staffs were really polite with prompt service. I loved their hospitality. I don't think I need to say anything extra about this place, as the name Hatari itself is enough for the Kolkatans to crave for or drool over. The best part what I liked was that, if people would have noticed usually the authenticity of first outlet of any brand is very rarely maintained in other outlets of that brand, but here you won't feel any difference it's exact same preparation and presentation offered to you like that of their Gariahat outlet. So, if you are craving for Chinese delicacies, then simply visit Hatari and your tastebuds will be satiated in the best...

The outlet I am posting about is located at Saltlake Sector 1, near telephone exchange bhawan. This outlet is bearing the heritage of Hatari in its every interior as well, with a classy seating arrangement, and beautiful lighting.

For the lung fung soup, it was absolutely soothing with chicken, seafood and lots of veggies in it, a full bowl of soup can easily be shared among two persons.

Now coming to the starter part, in brief they have options available in all kind of meat like pork, prawn, chicken, squid alongwith veg starters. Among all the Chinese starters, Pan fried chilli fish is a must must must try, you will never be disappointed of this dish from Hatari.

Apart from Chinese, they have some North Indian and Mughlai delicacies too, kebab, shahi pulao, chicken tawa masala or grab any other dishes and enrich your cravings.

They are also serving serving different types of noodles, thai noodles, rice noodles and their different preparations.

Also if you love duck meat then you can try Brown Glazed Duck, a very delectable preparations of duck with flavours of Chinese sauce, cashews and spices.

And end a your happy meal with cute and beautiful Tutti Fruti Ice Cream which will be served in long glass with scoops of different flavors of ice cream, fruits, candy cane and cherry on top.

Few days, I visited their sector 1, Saltlake outlet and as my expectations was really high and they could fulfill my expectations 😇❤. The starters was so tasty and delicious specially the pan fried chilli fish is a must try dish when you visit this place and the murg shola kabab just melted in my mouth, it was so juicy and tender and each and every starter had their own flavours and was made perfect.. The main course was beyound expectations specially rice noodles with chicken red wine was one of the best combination someone can have and the taste of the each and every item was so perfect and the end was the best with those tutti frutti...
