This cozy cafe, situated by the Purta Bhawan opposite the Coach Bihar Bhawan near the Central Park, Salt Lake offers some lips smacking snacks and drinks with live music and excellent ambience. The cafe offers some delicious veg and non veg items with a good gesture. We ordered pitch ice tea, hazzlenut coffee, french cheese ball, chilly mushroom, pizza verdura and apple pie and all of the items were quite good to taste. The pizza to me was a little oily but the taste was good. More than the taste of the food, the ambience will attract anyone in this cafe. For me and my friend, the book corner was the most attractive area in this cafe. They have a very good collection of Bengali and English books some of which include the famous novels by the Legendery Bengali authors like Bibhuti Bhusan Bandyopadhyay, Narayan Sanyal etc. One can take out any book and experience the same while grabbing a cup of coffee or have chit chat with His or her partner. This is an excellent destination to spend quality time alone as well as with friends or the dearest ones. They also have some indoor games like cards, UNO, Ludo, chess etc. There is a stage and live performances are available as a complementary service. When we visited, there was a stand up comedy show which was really engaging and humorous. The interior decor carries a good aesthetic sense as well. The seats are comfortable and ergonomic. The staff members of this cafe are very warm, sensible, humble and open to feedback always. This will definitely make us their repeat customer in future. Kaffee Am Salzsee & Zomato duo can ruin your plans with their unprofessionalism

Incident Date: 2nd December, 2024

Very irresponsible attitude from restaurant management & Zomato. They took the booking for the 9 pm slot so we reached here today at 8.56 pm. We checked it was closed. We contacted Zomato but they didn't help us in that situation. Neither the restaurant management nor Zomato is taking any accountability for this mistake. As a customer we faced loss in terms of fuel cost, time along with that huge embarrassment.

As a customer we can understand they can be closed due to any unavoidable circumstances but then they shouldn't take any bookings for today. In fact I checked on Zomato around 22:10 and Zomato was still taking table bookings for this restaurant on 2nd December after complaining.

When I contacted Zomato regarding this a Zomato customer service associate cancelled that booking (8.56pm , 2nd December, 2024) & promised 100 INR Zomato Credit for this trouble as compensation. They might be joking because still that 'token of apology ' has not been credited to my Zomato account (Now it is 3rd December and time is 10.45am IST) and we cannot trust Zomato from now onwards. What a mess!!!!!
