3.5
I am not sure when Zomato will hear us and introduce more detailed rating system where we can rate these restaurants more judiciously like 3.7 or 3.9 etc. Atleast a .5 rating scale would be much helpful and will give a better picture
This one is the 3rd restaurant from Kouzina and its non veg. It is conveniently located between PNB and Quality in Sector 1 .
My original rating is 3.5 in which 3 is for FOOD comparing the taste with the value for money and another .5 purely because of its decor & hospitality . This is perfect themed restaurant . They will provide you the Mining Helmet and other props for the photo opportunities and gives u the real feel. All said and done the Primary goal of a restaurant is to provide you great food and this should hold good always at anytime of the day ..as long as they are open and it should not matter if you are the only customer or there other customers at that point of time.
Someone or the other was always attending us and taking feedback of the food but you also expect to be suggested if you are going wrong with the orders . Explaining about a dish is good and expected but correction is more desirable. I am saying this because in the Italian platter the preparation of fish and chicken was same as Grilled Bhetki Papiraka preparation and of Kala Patthar respectively and we could have easily avoided this overlap if the restaurant had advised us or corrected us .
Coming to the food that we had
๐ Jamaican Mojito - It was different, refreshing & a bit spicy. A wild version of the more conventional Mojito. Must try
๐Mint lemonade - It was also very refreshing and will be a perfect drink if not the best mocktail when someone visits this place in summers
๐ Chicken Kala Patthar - Named after a famous movie and also goes down well with their theme was delicious and different a bit hard but will give it benefit of doubt
๐Kouzina Mining Co Italian platter (This was value for money)- As the name suggests this is not a conventional seafood platter or a kabab plater it was more of a continental platter which had Chicken,Fish (Bhetki) , A prawn , Shredded Mutton in an unique preparation and was tasty along with rice topped with a poach
๐White mousse - Tasty..Creamy.. Different
๐Mutton Lalmas - It was stated as a Chef special which makes your expectation high . It was well prepared but was like any other North Indian preparation and nothing exceptional
๐ Paparika and Garlic Marinated Grilled Bhetki - The biggest disappointment. The preparation doesn't even come close to the name of the dish and again this one was one of the Chef Special. It was neither garlic marinated nor properly grilled...Paparika was no where to be found and last but not the least it was hard from inside. All these things clearly indicates that the preparation was hurried which is not at all desired. Unavailability of a dish in short span of time is still understandable but dishing out something which doesn't justify itself is not acceptable.
To Kouzina Mining Co. We had a good time no doubt with the ambience and hospitality but few suggestions
๐ When you serve something ..serve it well and the way it should be or don't serve at all . It's ok if you inform the customer that if a particular dish is not available but don't serve anything under the name of that dish . Most people may not understand these things but again there will people like us who knows how a dish exactly should be.
๐When an item listed as Chef Special..Make sure it is something special and exclusive so that customers are not misguided
๐ People attending the customer should correct them if they are going wrong with...
ย ย ย Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at two restaurants under the same group: Kouzina Mining and Kouzina Marine. While both establishments share a common culinary theme, my experiences at these venues were as different as night and day. Allow me to recount my encounters at each restaurant, highlighting the contrasting elements that shaped my overall impressions.
Let's begin with my visit to Kouzina Mining. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was captivated by its inviting ambiance. The warm, earthy tones and tasteful decor created a cozy and rustic atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The staff welcomed me with genuine smiles and displayed a commendable level of professionalism throughout my dining experience.
As I perused the menu, I found myself enticed by the diverse array of options. After careful deliberation, I settled on the Jamaican Mojitho, a refreshing beverage that perfectly blended tropical flavors with a hint of zest. To complement my drink, I decided to try the veg lasagne, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. The layers of perfectly cooked vegetables and delectable cheese sauce made it an absolute delight for my taste buds. The attention to detail and the evident expertise in crafting these dishes truly impressed me.
On the other hand, my visit to Kouzina Marine left much to be desired. Unlike its sister restaurant, the ambiance at Kouzina Marine felt uninspired and lacked the distinctive charm that I had come to appreciate. Additionally, the service fell short of my expectations. The staff members seemed disinterested and at times displayed rudeness, which created an uncomfortable dining environment.
Despite these setbacks, I decided to give the cuisine a fair chance. However, the offerings at Kouzina Marine failed to live up to the high standards set by Kouzina Mining. The flavors lacked the same depth and creativity, and the dishes were overall underwhelming. It was disheartening to witness the disparity between the two establishments, especially considering their shared affiliation.
In summary, my experience at Kouzina Mining was a testament to exceptional dining. The friendly and attentive staff, combined with the remarkable ambiance and mouthwatering culinary creations, made it an absolute pleasure. However, my visit to Kouzina Marine was marred by the discourteous service and lackluster food, leaving me with a feeling of disappointment.
I highly recommend Kouzina Mining for those seeking an exquisite dining experience filled with delectable flavors, attentive service, and an inviting ambiance. However, based on my experience, I advise caution when considering Kouzina Marine as a dining option, as it may not live up to the standards set by its...
ย ย ย Read moreLast night I went to this restaurant with my children and close relatives. We requested for vegetarian food being Jain and also navratri - we ordered veg noodles, fried rice , chilly panner and veg Manchurian, and requested noddles without vegetables and capsicum for our kids, they took the order and after 5 mins come back and told we cannot prepare noodles as per your requirement and we have ready food made in bulk which we can be serve only.
Then we requested this to the manager in charge and he also had some reservations on this small request, and then he accepted and told us that the food will take around 40 to 50 minutes, we agreed as during Pooja time if you move on to any another restaurant again you have to wait for some time for your turn..
now he brought our order in just 5 mins and missed veg Manchurian ....
Without Veg Manchurian how could we have food, but kids were hungry so we started eating and found that they have served the same noodles they have prepared in bulk by removing vegetables manually from hand and this is the only way they can serve food in just 5 minutes.
In the noodles we also found the smell of non veg and egg ultimately , we left food half eated...
Veg Manchurian never arrived on the table...
It was a ridiculous experience with the Kouzina Mining company. They totally spoiled our Pooja Dinner with family and kids. People go to the restaurant during the festive season with friends and family to enjoy and celebrate but Kouzina Marine spoiled our day.
They totally forget kids care and vegetarian food ethics...
I am not writing this review to just make a complaint or to create a bad image for this restaurant, this is a true experience and I request The owner of this restaurant to please make sure next time any customer should not face this kind of situation in your restaurant.
Please note you have many restaurants in the city flying Kouzina, marine Kouzina, now we have fear in mind and Heart to go to any of your restaurants in the city.
It is not effecting only your one restaurant, it is creating a bad image for all of your restaurant chains.
If the owner feels or wants to discuss this review I am always available and come to our restaurant again and discuss this with your manager in charge.
Again I will say this was such a bad experience so that I had to write the above and invested almost my 20 mins, which is priceless.
In Hope for improvement for all visiting customers like us Thanks, if the owner pays attention to this ....
Happy...
