I booked through booking.com (forwarded from tripadvisor- donno what arrangements they share internally) for 31st July. The hotel is nearby my locality. Checked in around 1pm & checked out at around 8pm the same day. There was a confusion regarding the payment though. Booking.com accepted the credit card details, so I thought my payment is made, but once I checked out, at 9:30 the same night somebody called me up to ask why i have checked out without making payment. I told them that i booked thru booking.com & the payment is being made, still if they won't get it I will make sure to talk to the helpline and settle them by cash the next day itself as it is nearby to my place. They assured to revert after cross-checking from their end. But, they never called back. Next day I confirmed with booking.com & they told me already the payment has been processed & it will be credited to the account of the concerned party in few time. I have even forwarded a mail to them with all details & called up again to the hotel to confirm the same story. This time a lady talked to me in a harsh tone & asked me why I have tried to cancel the booking/payment thru my credit card at late night. I have no clue about what she was talking about. I did my best on my part to pay for the stay & I guess I wont get richer by cheating on you for Rs.1500!!! Also I am a part of the hospitality sector myself (graduated from IHM Taratala and enjoyed working in renowned hotel groups, my mother worked for hhi, my brother works for ministry of tourism, govt of india & my partner works as a head-hr for one of the largest hotel), so I won't unnecessarily bad-mouth about you either.||||Anyways, the hotel is nice, though I cant comment on the services as I havent opted for any of them. Value for money I would say. Still my sincere advice to them would be kindly have some competent staff, may be less in numbers, but efficient than a bunchful of...
Read moreMy parents and I came from Delhi, and booked two separate rooms at NextGen (single and double). We were extremely happy with the accommodation. The rooms were spacious, clean and well-kept with all the basic conveniences (TV, bottled water, glasses, electronic mosquito repellent, enough outlets, folder with important information and food menus, and working Wi-Fi). The bathrooms were also big and well-equipped (health shower, hand soap, body soap, shampoo, bucket, etc). In addition to the comfortable stay, the guesthouse staff were very kind, efficient and professional. The front desk was also very accommodating to our needs (early check-in/out, payment options, etc.). Since we were out-of-towners, it was a plus that people at the front desk spoke in English. We ate breakfast and dinner from their menu - the food was delicious, didn't need to eat at a restaurant!! Overall, our stay at NextGen was pleasant and cozy, and I would recommend it highly to...
