Wow! Momo — Restaurant in Bidhannagar

Ever since we saw the unique "rickshaw seats" of this place in one of the pictures, we had it on our list of restaurants to visit. So, on a fine weekday we went to grab some lunch here and I must say, I was completely taken aback by the ambience, food and the service. To all of you chinese/asian food lovers out there reading this review, this place is criminally underrated. Perhaps maybe its very young compared to the competition here in sector 5 or perhaps because we tend to think its just "another wow china" branch by looking at the name. But let me tell you, this lovely little hidden gem of a place punches way above its weight. Starting from the food taste, quality and quantity, its just fabulous. This is one of the best chinese I've had in town. Each and every dish was prepared with quality ingredients and we could just feel the distinctive flavors of the different dishes as they melted in our mouth. The prawns, the chicken, the veggies everything was so nicely cooked to the just right extent that it felt heavenly with every bite! The ambience was also very nice. Its a perfect place for a cozy date or for a hangout with friends & family. We definitely took one of the "rickshaw seats" and it was a damn fun experience! Apart from this the service and cleanliness factors were also topnotch and contributed to setting the mood further. To top it all, the pocket pinch was also very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food. If you can use some of the offers they have running here on zomato or eazydiner, it will be just a bargain. To summarize, as someone who has been to alot of places around the town, I'm really baffled why this place is so underrated. I would really suggest to those of you reading this review to not go by the name of this place. Yes it is wow china but the quality here is 100times better than what you will find at any random wow china joint. So, break the stereotype and go give this place a try. You will definitely love it if you are a fan of chinese/asian cuisine. Let's make this place famous and give it the much deserved...

This branch of Wow! Momo is located at SDF just opposite to Cognizant. They've a little dining inside and this place stays full most of the time by corporate crowd.

Staffs are more than just helpful here and they informed me about current ongoing offers. Also recommend their below speciality..

Chicken Sizzler Momo @ Rs.275 (3/5) : Served like a normal sizzler, sizzling hot with noodles, veggies and with 2 kinds of momos, fried and pan fried. It tasted very average and it was little too much burned as per my preference. They offered a complimentary drink with it that tastes ridiculous.

Chicken Baked Momo Augratin @ Rs.260 (3/5) : I also ordered my only favourite dish in Wow! Momo and I must say they've drastically degraded the quality of Baked Momos from the last time I tried it. Now the cheese layer on top has become very thin and underneath that it was full of noodles and 4 momos in extremely extremely tangy sauce.

To my surprise, even in the dining they serve the Baked Momo in Aluminium foil like takeaway counters, not in glass bowl like shown in the pictures. This not only looks cheap also very unprofessional for a big brand like this.

Conclusion : Well Wow! Momo is Wow Momo, doesn't matter how worthy are their dishes. They improve or degrade the quality of food, people have always loved them and will love them for...

Service(1/10)The food took 50 mins to come to the Table. Poorly trained staff. After repeated requests to turn down the music they were putting it back up too high after a few mins. Which part of the customer request don't these guys understand?

Food Review Chicken Fried rice (6/10)- Above average. Good aroma, weak in taste. Very less amount of chicken in the rice.

Chicken in Black Pepper Sauce (8/10) - This was good. 14 small pieces. Good for 3 people max. Gravy tasted good.

Khow Suey (7/10) - Quantity is Noodles is too less for the amount of gravy. Maybe they don't know the measurements. It tasted pretty decent. Good amount of spiciness.

Veg Loaded Sizzler (5/10) - Pretty bland and was served after 1hr of order.
