Peking Restaurant — Restaurant in Central Zone

We went to this place on a Friday and it was almost dead. I used to be a frequent visitor of Peking a while ago but the quality of food has gone down. I am not sure if there was a management change. We ordered three dishes and they all tasted pretty much the same. The dragon prawn that we ordered had so much batter on it that it was unrecognizable as a prawn dish. They used to have a stellar American Chopsuey but now it is sub par. They also had only really small Coke bottles. The staff, though diligent, were not cordial. The worst of all of this was that when we finished eating we saw two cockroaches crawling on the wall. This is probably the last time that we will be coming to the Peking restaurant. I hope that they come out of this slump and become its old...

Few years back, quality of food was good, but now it's very bad & I find this restaurant very unhygienic, the area where plates, spoons are kept is near toilet area. Very very few options for vegetarian, one can find more options in road side Chinese stall. Service is very pathetic, staff themselves doesn't know anything about any dish u ask for.And I've still not understood why their lighting is so poor & overall ambience is very poor. Few years back, this restaurant served authentic Chinese food with quality ingredients & portion size, service was also good, but now everything about this restaurant is very bad, very disappointed & definitely not worth the price...

It was the first time for me and my children to try the Peking restaurant in Nehru stadium, Coimbatore. Though we passed through it many times in the past , we never had the opportunity and it was always on our bucket list. We went for lunch and didn’t know where to start in their menu. But their staff were kind enough to help my children to explain the menu, especially if they are spicy or not, portion size etc.. so it was very guided process to select the few items.. we chose a soup, noodle, choupsey and a garlic prawn.. all were yummy and portion was right enough for us.
