Wow...been having really positive food experiences in Goa so far and then this place happened...I didn't know it was humanely possible to move this slowly. I think this business is run by a family of sloths. It took over an hour to get our food and had to ask not once, not twice, not thrice, but FOUR times for a bottle of water. Then the vegetarian Biryani arrived...with big hunks of chicken in it. When we pointed this out to our waiter, he responded "yes I wrote down vegetarian...I don't know what happened...what to do? " Umm I don't know..maybe bring a veg one since we have vegetarisns at our table and this is the only veg dish we ordered. Had to argue with him for that to happen. That took another 30 mins of course. When our masala crab arrived, it took them I kid you not 10 minutes to bring the crab claw cracker so we couldn't start. The crab was delicious tho so for that I give two stars. The final kicker was when it took 3 asks and over 15 minutes to receive our bill. Ugh avoid this place unless you have hours to kill.

We stayed at Colva Residency at Goa, and 49er is the restaurant in the same premises. Ordered prawn vindaloo, Goan sausage pulav and chilli chicken. It was 9:30 in night so we somehow consumed the food and give our feedback to the manager about the food. Vindaloo contained bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon, a shocking recipe for vindaloo! Vindaloo contained only 6 pieces of medium sized prawn costing Rs. 450/-. Chilli chicken (attached a picture for proof) contains finely chopped onion and capcicum rather than diced onion and capcicum, chicken was with bone, no traces of soy sauce! The Goan sausage pulav had pieces of sausage, but one needs to bring magnifying glass to find it. After giving an elaborate feedback to the manager, he told us all these recipes are of Goan style, so we rested our case!!! P.S. It happened to be a karaoke night, so we had to endure out of tune songs in full volume without any cash or kind compensation!!!

A very good place to be .....must visit if you are in Colva beach, Goa. Recently have been and very well served by a young lady named Roopa. She did very well took care wid warm welcome and served food very quickly. She also suggested me to try the most famous Goan Cashew Fenny and I just loved it since then... I had my bfast, lunch and dinner at the same property. Also I met Mr Lawrence (owner) he's also a very nice person very humble ... on Weekends they have live music at the restro..... I might have wrote too much though 😜... Overall it was amazing, lovely, superb experience with 49ers..... See u soon....next year maybe 😍😍😍😍 couldnt share videos... Sorry roopa!

Doesn’t even deserve 1 star! Shocking service! I ordered a pizza and prawns at this restaurant and the pizza base was pre made (possibly came from a shop or factory) it was rock hard and over cooked like eating a hard biscuit! I spoke to the waiter (who was very interactive, friendly and helpful) and he said he would bring over the manager. The manager was very rude and arogant saying there was nothing he could do because he wasn’t actually a manager and the real manager was out today. Anyway eventually he said he would sort something out. 5 minutes later the original waiter came back out and told us he was being made to pay for the pizza out of his own money! Absolutely appalling how they treat the staff like this. It was not the waiters responsibility therefore he should not be paying. Later he brings out the bill and they have over charged us for the prawns telling us we ordered some other more expensive prawns and refused to believe that we didn’t order these prawns. The waiter is then telling us that he’s going to have to pay for these prawns too if we don’t so they’ve basically given us awful food and the wrong order and robbed us for our money! Do not...
