We had heard good things about this new place and wanted to try it for dinner on my birthday. We were staying in sinquerim and it was a 40mins journey to reach there. At night for those who are unfamiliar with goa it could be a challenge not to doubt the decision ,while on the way, through dimlit narrow roads.
We started with an appetizer called fifth sense which is something like a mushroom cutlet to put it in layman's terms. It was good ,nothing special and I still wasn't convinced it would be worth the ride. We asked for recommendation and the next thing in the line was Lamb with beet dosa(forgot the name of the dish). Now this is where the paradigm shift happened. One bite and i knew this was the best food i have had in entire goa.The beet dosa which i was so sceptical about made my taste buds realise there is more to dosa than what they had gathered in 2 decades and more. Next in line was the beef risotto. Since it came after the lamb i wasn't surprised by it. But the mix of beef with saabudaana khichdi was something I hadn't imagine would taste so yumm. I was so smitten by the food that i don't even care to mention their amazing cocktails and the whole ambience of the place and my god the music playlist they have. That I leave as the garnishing on this gourmet experience. While i wish all the best to them , I also hope they don't get too crowded which sadly for...
Read moreThe Assagao food scene has literally exploded with restaurants jostling cheek and jowl. Saw some great reviews and this place looked fabulous in pictures, so we decided to drop in for dinner (Feb ‘23). The restaurant does have a super ambiance and the old Portuguese house is truly gorgeous with a large open air courtyard. That said, we didn’t know what to make of the food. To begin with, we’re not sure the fusion works… Risotto was sabudana (sago) tempered with kadipatta (curry leaves) with pulled beef sitting atop. The taste was jarring. I mean if I wanted “Thayir sadam” I would have stayed home and eaten it. A dip into the sea wasn’t even your toes in a prawn farm..Khakras with mashed prawn dip, seriously? The old fashioned was well made (didn’t have the orange zest or slice / cherry). The only slightly redeeming dish was the Kalimpong noodles with chicken. Total bill was around ₹2900 (including 10% service charge). We hate wasting food but last night we just couldn’t finish it. A point about the staff though… extremely friendly, warm and attentive. Right from their valet to the servers, all were on point. Two stars only for that. Rest, extremely disappointed.. we also hate bashing any establishment and we realise it takes a lot of effort and passion in running one, but here’s another restaurant struck off our list,...

Goa Really Needs Such Classy Fine Dining Restaurants..
Fell in love with the place from the moment I walked in. The design aesthetic is minimalist and classy.
The food was a rare combination of tradition and modern cuisine. Beautifully crafted food plated equally artistically. Great fusion flavours. A welcome change from the run of the mill food available in the vicinity.
Was Served Delicious Chettinad Wellington Along With Mash Potatoes And A Simple Salad... Just Added A Little Addition By Ordering Some Steam Rice...

Lovely setup, a peaceful location. Good space for large families and group lunches n dinners.
Fabulous place with plenty of lighting and ventilation. You get very good vibes the moment you enter the restaurant. Tastefully decorated. Excellent ambiance.
There is a large bar space inside which has a nice mood in it’s own.
Fantastic experience .... And good value for your pocket...
