On Sunday, April 27, 2025, we decided to visit Jungle Café (Bistro & Bar) in Sangolda, Goa. Anticipating a busy weekend crowd, we made a reservation through Zomato. Surprisingly, upon arrival at 1:25 p.m., the café was relatively quiet, allowing us to choose our preferred seating.
We began our meal with two beverages. I opted for the "Mocktail of the Day," while my friend chose a cocktail. Mr. Deep, from the bar counter, I approached to inform me about the available bases for the mocktail: orange and pineapple. I selected the pineapple base. Within 10 minutes, our drinks were served, and both were exceptionally refreshing. Mr. Dip also advised us to consume them promptly to prevent dilution, ensuring the best taste experience.
Theu have qhiye a few good vegetarian options, which i really appreciated as a vegetarian. For appetizers, we ordered cheese balls from the small bites section. For the main course, after some deliberation between pizza and pasta, we settled on the Alfredo pasta. Both dishes were delightful. The cheese balls were crispy and flavorful, while the pasta was creamy with a generous portion size. In fact, the serving was so ample that I couldn't finish my share. Given our satiation, we decided to skip dessert this time.
True to its name, Jungle Café is nestled amidst lush greenery, offering a serene and nature-inspired ambience. The café features various seating arrangements, including an open area under the trees, which we found particularly charming. However, due to the sunny weather, we chose indoor seating. One unique detail that caught my eye was a mirror installed between tree trunks, adding a whimsical touch to the natural surroundings. The establishment also showcases a few bikes on display and offers accommodation options, reflecting a blend of rustic charm and modern amenities. Both the hotel premises and restrooms were impeccably clean.
The café's culinary setup is noteworthy. The grill station is situated outside the bar section, allowing guests to observe the grilling process. Inside the bar area, there's a traditional clay oven, often referred to as a "wood-fired pizza oven," used for baking pizzas. This dome-shaped oven adds an authentic touch to their pizza offerings.
The staff were courteous and attentive. A special mention goes to the customer representative who checked in on us during our meal, inquiring about our experience and any special requests. Her friendly demeanour added a personal touch to our visit. I regret not asking for her name, but she was on duty during our visit at 1:25 PM. Additionally, I was intrigued by the unique straws made from dried leaves. Upon expressing my interest, she graciously provided two as souvenirs, which I deeply appreciated.
Jungle Café offers a harmonious blend of delectable food, refreshing drinks, and a tranquil environment. The attentive staff and unique touches, like the eco-friendly straws and the mirror between tree trunks, enhance the overall experience. Whether you're seeking a peaceful spot to unwind or a place to enjoy quality food amidst nature, Jungle Café is a commendable choice.
I will definitely recommend this Bistro Bar to anyone visiting goa . And I am sure I'll be coming...

Food - Just fantastic and brings a smile to your face ( That's all you need) Service - Super Polite staff, and 5-star service. Owner/Host - A wonderful person to converse with, and made us feel at home. All in All - A MUST VISIT !
Let me tell you a longer version story of my visit - (Like Michael Scott from The Office .. I sometimes start a sentence and lose my way.. so bear with me) My wife and I were visiting North Goa for the weekend. Had no plans in place. It was going to be all instinctive. A quick Google search for restaurants near Calangute led me to this Restaurant/Cafe . The photos and brilliant reviews made it a sort of no brainer for my "English breakfast" craving self . Right from entrance, to the nice spaced out parking lot on a slope, this place just hit the right notes . No sooner did I enter the actual cafe, than I was magnetically drawn towards the table which me and my spouse would occupy for the next 3 odd hours. Just a calm and natural environment accented by tasteful wooden interiors, and some open spaces of just Trees and plants right in the middle of the cafe ! The Transparent canopy was one of the best rain covers I have seen in a restaurant. We ordered an English Breakfast , a Masala Cheese Omlette, and paired then with Black coffee and Masala Chai respectively. For me , food is sacred, and if it makes me happy and satisfied, then the cafe/resto has nothing better to offer. And they surely did that. I couldn't have asked for anything more or less. We rounded off the meal with an Ice Cream brownie. It happened to be my birthday, and the server, Mr. Sushil Parekh, (who hails from Udaipur), arranged for the brownie to have a customised "Happy Birthday " message written on the plate , and to my embarassment ( but inner joy) , they played a nice rendition of the birthday song on their speakers. And as if this wasn't enough to make my day, it started to rain heavily, which literally added extra charm to the place, just like Diwali lights do to your home . I had to order a Cappucino, to just soak in the atmosphere. We ended up staying for another hour there. We happened to meet the owner of the cafe, and she was just a delight to converse with. We just couldn't thank her enough for making a place , which felt like home , even though we come from a city which is a concrete jungle. By the time we left, the place was not about food anymore . It ended up being an "experience" .
A thank you again to the person who served us, to the owner , to the bartender and to everyone running this place. The word needs to spread and spread fast about this place . I will do my...
Read moreJungle Cafe Bistro & Bar was more of evening outing for us. We had heard that they have good wraps and we thought to give it a try. It is on the Chowgam Road and quite convenient to reach using Google maps (if you are a tourist or new to Goa). We reached around 6.30 and it was almost dark by that time. As the cafe is little inside from the road they have ample space for parking. For us it was very convenient as we were on a two wheeler on that evening. The parking was completely empty and we parked the scooter near the entrance. The entrance has a gate and has a menu kept for reference. They also have a sitting space next to entrance gate. A flight of stairs with plantation on both the sides will take you to the restaurant. At the end of the stairs their is another gate welcoming you inside. The sitting space is quite large with multiple sitting options. They have a huge tree at the middle of which only trunk is visible (the rest is above the roof). We settled at a corner and ordered for masala tea, wrap and crispy corns. Tea was just warm and was sear disappointment. Crispy corns was good and wrap was ok. They serve pork, beef and also have a well stocked bar. They are open for breakfast which is a big plus for them as you have limited such options in Goa. The staff were friendly and prompt. As the cafe has a natural setting you need to brace the insects in the evening. However, this might not be a concern during day light. The decor is quite modern and perfectly done giving the place cosy and natural feel. The owner seems to have a liking for bikes and you will not miss it with bikes placed at the entrance and also in the dinning space. I would certainly recommend the place for its natural setting and would like to explore it more for the food choices that they offer. Do share a like if you found the review useful. It motivates us to explore more places...
