This was by far the worst restaurant I've been to in my 1.5 years in India. From overpriced drinks to cheap food without any presentation, the menu was a shame for a restaurant in such a prime location. The cocktails we had were nice, good presentation even tho definitely not worth 999 rupees. Now, this is where it becomes interesting, the service. None of the waiters knew how many pieces of sushis got served, so I've asked for the manager. When I tried to order lamb, the lady wasn't sure if its available so she had to go back to the kitchen to confirm. Turned out none of the lamb dishes were available, so I've decided to order lobster, which obviously was also not available. Hmm, not available in general or not available since we are doing a collaboration to cut costs? Questionable. The so-called manager (a lady) never came back after checking for the lamb, so I then proceeded to order some alternative dishes. From that point we didn't received any service. Nobody came to our table to check on the food, check on us. None of the dishes were served together. It took more than 1h for a pizza, yes a pizza with cheese which had a crust like a frozen one. Up on checking, they told us they forgot the order. Forgot an order which was written down? Questionable again. The creme de la creme was when they completely forgot my friends' food, after 1.5h and even after checking and checking it never came. The manager, as well as the hostess, were sitting down on a table across us, playing with their phones, just waiting for their shift to finish and to go home. We all felt robbed...
Read moreStaff at the reception/ front desk are extremely unprofessional. They dont even have the manners and decency to speak with the customer. I was with my 22 friends and paid almost 75000/- INR for the entry. The staff asked me for my bank statement when i had the original paytm insider passes. I have never ever been asked to show my bank statement at a night club. How derogatory of the staff to ask for bank statement. Took 15 mins just to give me my wristbands and then gave me a single card for the bar. I specifically had booked 3 separate passes of 10-5-7 people so that every group would have their own bar card. Ruined the entire party because every time even if anybody wanted to buy a water bottle which they charge 250/- plus taxes we had to produce the card. How are you supposed to find the card holder amongst 500 people on a Saturday night in dark environment at a techno scene? Half of my time got consumed in finding the card holder which should have been used to party !
The security, washroom staff and bartenders were extremely polite and co-operative.
I am sure they are gonna neglect this review or just gonna send a stupid apology template but if you do read it hire a new front desk staff with an actual hotel...
Read moreI recently visited occo goa restaurant and unfortunately, I had quite a disappointing experience. One major issue I encountered was the restaurant charging extra for certain items without any prior notice or explanation. This left me feeling deceived and frustrated as I had budgeted for my meal based on the prices displayed on the menu.
Additionally, I found the overall quality of the food to be subpar. The dishes lacked flavor and were far from enjoyable. It was evident that little effort had been put into the preparation and presentation of the food. This was quite disappointing, especially considering the prices charged for each dish.
Furthermore, the service at the restaurant was not up to par either. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive throughout my visit. It took an abnormally long time to receive our orders, and requests for refills and assistance were met with indifference.
Overall, I left the restaurant feeling dissatisfied and I would not recommend it to others. The combination of the restaurant charging extra without warning and the low-quality food made for a disappointing experience. It is clear that there are better options available in town that provide better service and...
