Om Cafe (Beach shack) — Restaurant in Goa

Previously known as Nehal Shack, it retains the original staff. We have visited this beach shack many times over the years. This is one of our favourite places to laze away a day. Situated up on the rocks it offers a good vantage point that overlooks the whole beach (Little Vagator). Needs a bit of a walk and some steps, whichever way you approach it. We leave our scooter by the market and walk down from Big Vagator on the beach. The alternative is a long flight of steps !!! Difficult unless reasonably fit. The Om Cafe has comfortable well laid out tables and chairs. Being above the beach it also has a cooling breeze. Clean and tidy. Very good food with an extensive menu to cater for most tastes. Try Spicy Egg Bhurji and buttered toast for breakfast, washed down with a masala chai, my favourite. Food and drink prices are reasonable. Excellent staff and service. Sunbeds are provided free on the sandy beach in a sheltered Cove. So stumbled upon this café randomly at Ozran Beach and it turned out to be an awesome experience. They have the basics right - good food, good music and good ambience. A nice cute shack that's amazing to view the sunset at. We ordered a fried rice - best fried rice ever. As in - just how can some people get something so basic so right. Good drinks as well. Highly recommended.

Also, they are kind enough and decent enough to offer their washrooms without making you buy stuff. Five stars for just that.

If ur in small vagator and looking for a place to relax and enjoy food then you need to visit om cafe shack on the beach just below Antaras. It’s a beautiful beach that makes the shack relaxing. The staff is very friendly and the owner Vijay is very kind and fun. He knows how to treat his guest and make them comfortable.
