Salam Fast Food/ Chinese Nook — Restaurant in Goa

A rude and arrogant owner lacking customer service while he thinks his shawarma is the best in Goa!

He promotes his shawarma as Lebanese - That is absolutely not true! Here is why:

He uses boiled chicken (already cooked) then inconsistently grills it before serving the shawarma.

Lebanese or Middle Eastern meat is always stacked raw! Then grilled to perfection to serve the shawarma. This requires special skill and mastery.

The taste and texture of the chicken is way off the mark from a Middle Eastern shawarma.

He uses small a Indian roti instead of pita bread or Khubz (in Arabic) which is another bummer.

He says he uses Tahina sauce in the shawarma which tastes nowhere close to Tahina. Some type of almost watery sauce.

A travesty of a Middle Eastern shawarma!

And, his outlet does not look clean and...

I had gone here after all the hype of shawarma it recieved from social media , All I can say is I've never eaten shawarma as disgusting as theirs in my entire life, I felt like I've wasted money and health at the same time Truly disgusting I'd recommend not to visit here if you're a foodie, if you do visit and eat their shawarma you'll spoil your taste...

The butter chicken was good but it had very very few pieces in it for a price of Rs. 220. I would advise not just filling the container with curry but putting decent number of meat pieces in it too. I would have given you a 5 stars for the taste but without adequate pieces, it doesn't do justice to the dish. Hope you will take onboard and make necessary...
