The food here is definitely a must try in South Goa. The cakes are to die for. We had our sons cake cutting here yesterday and I have got to admit we melted for the German black forest cake. We kept on eyeing each of the delicacies kept there and without even having to taste them, we are sure it would be mind-blowing.
We wished though, the service could have been better. There's always crowd and considering the same, it would have been good if all the service providers had the very same intent of serving with determination. The two girls there are quite good at their multitasking and kudos to them for arranging everything at a jiffy though they were hand full However wished the young lad could show a but of love for the work he does. Hospitality shows on the face first and later on the table.
The atmosphere was quite tense and nothing due to the cafe. But guess people walking into such top class cafes puts up a scrawny face to show up their identity. I mean I have never encountered a set of people who thinks that a baby who cries is abnormal.
If you have kids, kindly be okay with their tantrums in this place. It's a kids thing to put up tantrums. And adults are required to have a behavioral training. People we met in the Cafe kept on staring at our baby who had a meltdown and had already formed judgements about our parenting.
If you don't have kids, walk in and enjoy the yummiest and delicious food here and walk out. Be kind and maybe ignore noisy children or be extra kind and give away a smile. It helps.
Finally, Thank you Wilton for having these world class pastries at the reach of us countrymen. We shall savour the sweetest makes every time we are here. I am gonna carry some of your stuffs to Bangalore! Can't wait to come back here the next time we are in...
Read moreAmazing food and aesthetic but service is quite slow.
Came here with some friends for lunch. The glasses they brought us for water were dirty. Took them quite a while to bring it out to the table to begin with and then We had to wait for the replacements.
Food also took a really long time to come even though we ordered as soon as we got there.
Diavlo (chicken ham, jalapeno) Pizza was really nice. Soft and fluffy crust and it went well with toppings on top. My sister came to pick me up from the lunch and we offered her a slice and she ended up going for a second one as well!
Pesto Chicken Pizza - Would not recommend this. It was just too too too oily and the flavor was nothing great either to be honest. I had to use a bunch of paper towels to dab out the oil and my fingers were still pretty oily from the toppings. Cheese on the top was amazing though. So 10 on 10 for that part but otherwise nothing super great.
Caesar Salad with Chicken - very generous amount of chicken and so so many croutons but There was barely any romaine lettuce. I really like it when there is a good balance of the chicken and the lettuce on there but this was mostly chicken and just a little lettuce down. Definitely appreciate that. The chicken was chicken breast and did not have much oil used in the cooking. I had asked for the dressing on the side and I think it was a good thing. I did that because I think the dressing was mostly just mayonnaise. Quite flavorful but not thuy consistency of a Caesar dressing.
Arrabiata chicken pasta was Also a hit. This was the only item that my friend shared and actually almost finished! Only 2 strips of chicken were left and my sister ate those when she got...
Read moreI don’t even know where to start with Patisserie Victoria… talk about a disaster. I came in with high hopes, but wow, was I wrong. First off, the cleanliness here is basically nonexistent. Tables were sticky, crumbs everywhere, and I spotted a few flies casually hanging out around the counter. I don’t know about you, but I’m not exactly in the mood for a meal when I’m playing “spot the fly” in my peripheral vision.
And speaking of food… let’s talk about my pasta “surprise.” I found a dead cockroach just chillin’ in there like it was a topping. Yup, you read that right. A dead cockroach😱(I’m not posting the photo of that because, honestly, no one needs that kind of trauma in their life). I mean, that’s not exactly the “extra protein” I ordered, you know?
Then, there’s the portions. I ordered a salad and pasta, and what I got wouldn’t fill up a toddler. And for the price? Absolute rip-off. The flavors were so bland, I was convinced they’d forgotten to add, well, flavor. Not to mention, everything tasted like it had been sitting around for days. Fresh ingredients? Apparently not a thing here.
But here’s the cherry on top—the manager’s attitude. When I (politely!) mentioned the hygiene issues, they looked at me like I was the problem. No apology, no “let me fix that,” nothing. Just full-on “why are you even here?” vibes. Not exactly the kind of customer service that makes you wanna come back, you know?
If you’re looking for a place that’s overpriced, unclean, and run by people who clearly couldn’t care less, then hey, Patisserie Victoria’s for you! But honestly, I’d save your money and go literally...
