Ceskaz isn't your average deli café. Situated in the heart of bustling Margao the place feels so peaceful and welcoming it's my escape from reality and my boss. The place has a charm you cannot miss and I think that has something to do with the friendly staff !
The menu is precise but offers a wide variety of mouth watering dishes, there is something to satisfy your craziest taste buds.
My personal fav for a quick bite while trying to stay on schedule is the Roast chicken Sub and the Chicken Tikka sub with a glass of cold pressed juice cause how can you go wrong with that ?
But, if you're there for a meal I suggest you try their Kebabs, specially the Turkish Adana Kebab available in Chicken and Mutton. I'm not much of a pork person but the Bacon wrapped Sausages have a special place in my dreams.
Oh and if you're as crazy as I am about kitchens and their cleanliness then God damn you're in luck cause they have the tidiest kitchen I've ever seen in the bizz. Who doesn't love a deli with an open kitchen ? You can literally see the cooks weave their magic into the food.
The food has the warmth of homemade food but, don't you dare take my word, do yourself a favour and visit the place.
P.s. why are you'll closed on Mondays ? I need the moral support your food provides to...
Read moreCeskaz presents itself as a cozy spot for a casual bite, but our dining experience left much to be desired. Despite the inviting ambiance, there were a few hiccups that kept the meal from being as enjoyable as we hoped.
We started with the Chicken Seekh Kebab, which was decent.
Next, we tried the Chicken Tikka Quesadilla, and this fusion dish was a pleasant surprise. Definitely one of the better dishes of the day.
However, things took a downturn with the Ice Mocha Latte. The waiter had assured us it would be sweet and not too bitter, but it turned out quite the opposite. The overwhelming bitterness threw off the balance of the drink, making it hard to enjoy.
The final dish, the Spicy Thai Dumplings, came with its own mix-up. We specifically ordered a version without chilli oil, but were served exactly what we’d tried to avoid. This added unnecessary heat to the dish, making it far spicier than we’d anticipated and detracting from the overall experience.
Though the dishes like the quesadilla, Kebab shined, but service issues and inconsistencies in food preparation left us a bit disappointed. There’s room for improvement, especially in making sure the orders...
Read moreI am giving this cafe one star because they are not pet-friendly, which is disappointing in a place like Goa, known for its warmth and openness toward pets. It’s hard to give more than one star when my dog and I are explicitly made to feel unwelcome.
Even at the outdoor tables, we were told we couldn’t stay because another customer might feel uncomfortable with pets. This reasoning is disheartening. We live in a world where humans and animals coexist, and our progress as a society owes much to the companionship and help of dogs. Yet, pet owners are made to feel like outcasts, forced to bow to the preferences of a few, even when their pets are minding their own business, quietly and unobtrusively.
If businesses continue to adopt such exclusionary policies, where do we draw the line? At what point do we prioritize harmony over individual discomfort and embrace the shared responsibility of coexisting with other species in our world?
This experience was a missed opportunity for the cafe to show inclusivity and embrace the spirit of Goa. Until policies like this change, I cannot recommend this place to...
