The Olives's in Palolem: Goan Flavors That Will Make You Smile!

Writing this review while spending Quality time with family at Pololem beach after Dinner and I HAVE to tell you about this gem of a restaurant called The Olives's! Seriously, if you're ever in the area, put this place at the top of your list.

From the moment you walk in, the ambience is just so welcoming. But the real star of the show is the food!

I was a little overwhelmed by the menu (so many delicious-sounding options!), but thankfully Nitin and Hitesh were there to save the day. They gave the best suggestions, and I ended up ordering their signature dish: the Red Snapper. Let me tell you, it was cooked to perfection! Flaky, flavorful, and just melt-in-your-mouth delicious.

And speaking of recommendations, Nitin also suggested I try Urak, a local alcoholic drink. I'm so glad I did! It was the perfect complement to the spicy Goan flavors.

The service was top-notch – friendly, attentive, and genuinely happy to help. You can tell they really care about making sure you have a great experience.

Honestly, The Olives's is a highlight of my trip. The excellent food, the fantastic recommendations, and the overall welcoming atmosphere made it a truly memorable meal. If you're looking for authentic Goan cuisine in Palolem, look no further! Just be sure to order that Red Snapper – you...

A Hidden Gem in Palolem – Incredible Seafood & Hospitality!

During our visit to Palolem, we stumbled upon this fantastic restaurant that left us beyond impressed. We were craving some good seafood and chicken dishes, and despite it being past 4 PM, they graciously served us their delicious thalis—something most places don’t do at that hour!

The fish thali was an absolute delight, packed with fresh, flavorful seafood, perfectly spiced curries, and all the traditional Goan accompaniments. The chicken thali was just as incredible, with tender, juicy chicken in a rich, aromatic gravy. The portions were generous, and every bite was bursting with authentic Goan flavors.

What made the experience even better was the warm hospitality of Hitesh. He was friendly, attentive, and eager to ensure we had a great meal. The laid-back ambiance, with a touch of Goan charm, made it the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed and satisfying lunch.

If you’re in Palolem and craving amazing seafood or chicken, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended for its fresh food, great service, and willingness to serve even at odd hours. We’ll...

Olive's at Palolem Beach is honestly one of the finest restaurants my family has been to in Goa. The ambience, the vibe, the service — everything was just so good. They even have live singing and music, which really adds to the whole experience (and the singers were genuinely good too). The atmosphere felt wholesome, friendly, and super welcoming.

A special shoutout to Nitin from the staff — he was absolutely wonderful and made the experience even better.

Food-wise, for lunch and dinner: the Egg salad, the Prawns Xacuti, Surmai curry, Egg Fried rice, Chicken chilli, Chicken Mali tikka kebab— all of which were amazing. What I loved is that they even adjust the spice levels to your preference, which is such a thoughtful touch.

But the absolute showstopper for us was the Tandoori Red Snapper — it was stellar! Honestly, it turned out to be one of the highlights of the trip to Goa.

They have both indoor and outdoor seating, with this really cool vibe that still feels warm, fuzzy, and cozy. Overall, great service, amazing food, and just a wonderful vibe — Olive'e is a...

Surprisingly, the prices listed on Zomato were much lower than what we were actually charged at the restaurant — something to keep in mind before ordering. On our first visit, we tried the Chicken Patiala and rotis based on positive reviews. The dish was decent but didn’t quite meet the hype — possibly because we’re from Mumbai and used to more masaledar North Indian food. We returned the next day for lunch and ordered the King Fish Masala Fry, Prawns Curry, Rice, and Chilli Garlic Rice. The King Fish Masala Fry was absolutely delicious, perfectly spiced and fried. The Prawns Curry had great flavor, though the prawns were a bit rubbery. The Chilli Garlic Rice was a pleasant surprise — full of flavor. Overall, the food was satisfying and the seafood really stood out. We'd recommend giving this place a try — especially for seafood lovers!

A glorified dhabha Firstly can’t believe it’s his a 4.9 rating . It does not deserve even a one star Poor service Took 35 min for starters . Which too came in tranches The kids food came 20 min before ours Our main course was served over an hour from our arrival . I had finished by the time he came and said your roti can’t be a mint paratha! It can be plain ! The gall of the guy who does not even realise the sequence of serving food The food is very very average . Tandoori seekh was hard as rock and dry The main dishes were prawn masala and mushroom masala . Typically oily and greasy dhabha food The pasta was hard and tasteless Very very poor experience and atrocious service . Especially as only one other table was occupied
