A Delightful Experience at Hocco Ice Cream, Navrangpura
I recently visited the Hocco Ice Cream outlet in Navrangpura, and I must say it was an absolutely wonderful experience that exceeded all my expectations. This charming ice cream parlor has quickly become one of my favorite dessert destinations in the area. What We Tried Our group decided to sample a variety of items from their menu, and each one was a delightful treat:
Hot Chocolate Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream: This dessert was pure indulgence! The brownie was perfectly baked – warm, gooey, and rich with deep chocolate flavor. Paired with their creamy vanilla ice cream, it created that perfect hot-and-cold contrast that makes every bite memorable. The vanilla ice cream was smooth and had an authentic, natural taste that complemented the brownie beautifully without overpowering it.
Sundae Ice Cream:
Their sundae was generously portioned and artfully presented. Every layer was thoughtfully crafted, and the combination of textures and flavors made it an absolute crowd-pleaser. The quality of ingredients really shone through in this classic preparation.
Sitafal (Custard Apple) Flavour Scoop:
This was a standout for me! The sitafal flavor was remarkably authentic – you could genuinely taste the natural sweetness and unique flavor profile of fresh custard apple. It's rare to find such regional and seasonal flavors executed so well. This scoop is a must-try for anyone who loves traditional Indian fruits. Black Current Flavour Scoop: Rich, fruity, and perfectly balanced, the black currant scoop had a wonderful tartness that wasn't too overwhelming. The texture was creamy and smooth, and the flavor intensity was just right. It's clear they use quality ingredients to achieve such authentic taste.
The Taste Factor
I cannot emphasize enough how awesome everything tasted! Each item we ordered was prepared with care and attention to quality. The ice cream had that perfect creamy consistency – not icy, not too heavy – just right. The flavors were vibrant and true to their descriptions, which shows the establishment's commitment to quality and authenticity.
The Outdoor Seating – A Major Plus!
One of the best features of this outlet is the outside sitting facility. It adds so much to the overall experience! There's something special about enjoying delicious ice cream in an open-air setting. The outdoor area provides a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere where you can take your time savoring your dessert while enjoying the ambiance. It's perfect for casual hangouts with friends, family outings, or even a quick dessert date. The seating arrangement is well-maintained and adds to the charm of the place.
Overall Experience
Hocco Ice Cream's Navrangpura outlet delivers on all fronts – exceptional taste, good variety, quality ingredients, and a pleasant ambiance. The staff was courteous, service was prompt, and the pricing seemed reasonable for the quality offered. Whether you're an ice cream enthusiast or just looking for a sweet treat, this place won't disappoint. I highly recommend visiting Hocco Ice Cream at their Navrangpura location. Don't miss out on trying their unique flavors like Sitafal alongside their classic preparations like the Hot Chocolate Brownie. The outdoor seating makes it an ideal spot for any time of day. Read moreMy plans for a yummy weekend yesterday i.e. on 08/07/2017 with a dinner at Havmor at navrangpura along with my family turned out to be an "Absolute drab and tasteless'. My biggest mistake (never expected this from Havmor) to choose two types of Sizzlers to relish on which turned out to be very tasteless and substandard not to mention the overrated stuff.. Rs.425 per sizzler ( overrated it is, we realised after starting to dig into the half cooked n raw stuffed contents in sizzler) this restaurant served. It was so cunning and convenient for the restaurant to just put in 3 halves of big potatoes steamed into the sizzler making the sizzler appear big and full some..to my utmost despair the stuffed tomato too had raw stuffing inside.. probably foul tasted cheese or paneer mashed, whatever ..I n my son just left it after taking a bite..instead of at least one piece of broccoli it was Cauliflower all the way!! Really! Like you don't even keep or serve broccoli in sizzler??? And beeeeg potato pieces??? All made n steamed in hurry and served half cooked that way too?? My Rs. 1600/- ( as we ordered a naan n subzi too along with two Sizzlers so rs 1600/-) gone down the drain..waste of money and a great spoiler for my weekend this dinner. I repeat this Havmor restaurant at navrangpura is highly overrated n gross as far as the quality of food goes.. I shall share my bad experience among my friends who are foodies and relish n dine at popular restaurants of Ahmedabad..not that it will matter to Havmor management.. My real BAD for choosing Havmor of Navrangpura to dine at. Highly overrated n poor in service n quality at least as far as Sizzler goes..was highly...
