I recently dined at Gordhan Thal and found the experience to be a bit of a mixed bag.
Food Quality: 3/5 The food was decent. The flavors were authentic, and there were a few dishes that stood out. However, some items lacked the freshness and richness I expect from a good Gujarati meal. It's a solid option if you're in the mood for a quick fix of traditional cuisine, but don't set your expectations too high.
Service: 2/5 The service left much to be desired. The staff seemed inattentive and slow to respond to requests. It took a while to get our orders, and there was a noticeable lack of warmth in their interactions. A bit more training and focus on customer satisfaction could go a long way here.
Atmosphere: 1/5 The atmosphere was quite disappointing. The decor was outdated, and the place felt cramped and noisy. It wasn't the most comfortable or inviting environment for a meal. This is an area that needs significant improvement to enhance the overall dining experience.
Parking: One major inconvenience is the lack of parking space. There is no designated parking area, and they do not offer valet parking either. Finding a spot nearby can be quite a hassle, especially during peak hours.
Overall, while Gordhan Thal offers a taste of traditional Gujarati cuisine, the overall experience is marred by subpar service, a lackluster atmosphere, and inconvenient parking. It has potential but needs some serious upgrades in...
Read moreWe had lunch here on Republic Day. To begin with we were told its the second day of opening and the experience was far from pleasant. There was a huge rush and waiting time for luch and we were told they dint take any reservations. When we visited the washroom there were feces on the floor. This goes on to reflect what service standards are followed in day two of operations. The Thalis tbat we ordered had good variety but the food had way too too much salt and hence rendered the majority of food inedible. Staff do visit your table asking for re fills but are unable to grasp or solve issues when brought to their notice. We did mention about the washroom and salt to which the staff did but respond ab3the washroom but said that the salt levels were normal and not too much. We have dined in other restaurants offering thalis and can hence say that Gordhan thal does love its sodium far more than other restaurants. Persons suffering from high BP do keep this in mind before ordering, lest one is adventurous and willing to take the chance, experience and experiment. We had two small kids with us and we were insistently told to take the kids thal which i felt would be a big waste. Management should consider prioritising cleanliness and lowering...
