Maxicano by the bay is a nice restaurant if you want to try something new. Restaurant is located exactly on river front road so donāt get confuse as google will ask you to exit riverfront and re-enter again from diversion. If you are planning to visit the restaurant on weekends I suggest go a bit early or else you have to wait for upto an hour. Food was bit expensive what I felt as per the taste and quantity. The biggest set back was unprofessional service and understaff. They have two floors and only 4 people to manage two floors. You have to keep searching for servers even to get a single spoon and wait for some time as they are already occupied. They have a weird policy of not serving some food. They donāt serve you your food until and unless they donāt think that this dish needs to be served. I have ordered Potato Tots and the server just kept the plate on table and left saying itās hot. I have to wait more than 10 minutes after which I told the manager kindly send someone to serve this dish. Just imagine going on a date ordering food worth ā¹400+ and making fool of your self by spilling sauces on you or on your date just because restaurant will not serve you some food as they are under staff. Ambience was good location is perfect for a lazy afternoon. Usually restaurant is very bust at weekends and it affects...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe place has a beautiful location so one star is for that and the ambience of the restaurant is good too. So the second star is for that.
The first turn off for me was the music. It did not go well with the set up of the place. They had extremely loud music so everyone would have to talk loud and the place all in all became this loud chaos. And I would not expect this type of environment at a sufficiently decent fine dine.
Other thing that tuned me off was their sizzler. It was very salty. We could not finish it, so we had to pack it and gave it away to the boy outside on the street.
We ordered enchiladas and bruschetta which were fine but could have been better.
The last thing we ordered was a dessert (it was something like chocolate pie - I donāt remember the exact name) Well it tasted fine but we found a plastic piece in it. Not one but two! When we asked the waiter to replace it he said just take it off it is from the packaging. We explained him that we would not like to have food with plastic in it, but he would not understand and wonāt replace the piece at all! This experience made me completely disappointed in the place. I came here because of these great reviews but I guess this place just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLet me start by rebranding this place from Mexican by The Bay to āPULAVā by The Bay. I have visited this restaurant 4 times and every time the food was good. Somehow they have managed to lower the standards now. Ordered Onion Rings which were super oily and over fried. Upon complaining the staff did not take any action. Ordered Mexican Hot Pot which was almost like Street Style Pulav. No taste, no spices, no texture it was just rice and fancy veggies in it. Upon complaining to Manager this time he replied sir sab log ne complaint kiya ki its so spicy so we changed it to this! I mean itās mexican food, itās supposed to be that way!! If not why have you mentioned on menu Spicy Mexican Hot Pot. Change it to Pulav Hot Pot!!! Manger had no sorry gesture and didnāt care about replacing the food.
Do not visit here if u want to have authentic Mexican food now! Its all gone down the drain now. Law Garden khao gali has better Mexican food!! Get ur chefs trained from there if you want to retain your regular customers. You have not only lost one but many customers now by such service and food quality. Thank you Pulav by the bay for spoiling my evening. Not...
