Post Corona we have been regularly ordering food from Bikanervala instead of dining at the place.

Home delivery experience from Bikanervala has generally not been good due to the following:

Packaging of food for home delivery is not upto the mark. It is a herculean task to open Bikanervala food packets and in the time taken to open the packets and heat the food, one can easily prepare a basic dish at home.

Despite home delivery being a norm after Corona, Bikanervala has not improvised in their packaging but only jacked up the prices of food items on their menu. Not just that, they have reduced the size and quantity too. Probably they are getting enough customers and hence really don't care.

The food packets received are often leaky.

Quantity of food is quite less as compared to the price.

There is too much oil in most of their food and spoonfuls of it often floats on the top.

Taste and spiciness(chillies) in the food keep varying and one is uncertain what will be delivered.

During festive seasons when there is a huge rush at the restaurant, the management doesn't even bother to close online delivery. Due to this, the wait for customers who have placed online orders is endless. On one such occasion, lunch ordered online was delivered at the time of evening tea.

Love this place! Have been enjoying its delicacies since 13 years. 5 stars because no one and nothing can be perfect in life. However, this restaurant is close to perfection!

Pros:

Excellent taste and quality of a majority of their food items. Vast menu and a variety of options to choose from. Very well managed with an electronic token system for self service. Good hygiene standards maintained in food preparation as well as serving. Paid parking in the front Friendly staff. Great place for family get togethers as well as to celebrate birthday parties. Good taste and a variety of sweets, namkeen, dry fruits as well as bakery items too. Not too expensive A boon for vegetarians since it is 100% vegetarian. Good breakfast options available at a discounted rate. Has a tie up with Swiggy & Zomato, so home delivery options also available.

Cons:

Too many chillies added to spice up the food. Can be better if chillies are reduced.

Parking is poorly managed by the authorities of sector 29 and since it is a happening place with many food joints in that area, one can get stuck in the lane on the way to Bikanervala due to huge traffic jams during peak hours.

Friday evenings are bad due to huge traffic jams. Best time on weekends is to reach before 1:30 pm for lunch and by 7:30 pm for dinner to avoid the rush and waiting time.

The restaurant is extremely noisy at weekends during peak time.
